- The "Get Started" cards on the dashboard occasionally do not allow me to drag and drop them. When this happens, restarting Logos solves the problem. I'm not sure what causes this. The third card on the first row seems to most frequently have trouble.
- The Top Bible Card is showing frequently. I have closed it several times, and it comes back. Reorganizing or adding/removing cards on my dashboard seems to reset it.
-The same is true of the videos in the get started section. The video card often reappears after closing it. I think it might be nice to add a video card to the settings as an optional card to be turned on or off.

Starting a new sermon document, there is no longer a way to "Apply Template" at the bottom of the page.
Has that functionality been removed on purpose?

Please add hotkey information in the popup (as you hover over a button) where it exists. As of now, this information is not displayed for the interlinear button. Since I am not aware of many hotkeys, it may be absent in other locations as well. If it is displayed for some locations, then in order to remain consistent, it should be displayed for all locations where appropriate.

I find removing an inline search filter is not intuitive. There should be a box as with the prior toolbar to close the filter. If not, we are going to get lots of questions from users. It may be this way in version 37, but I don't use inline and my not have noticed it.

I agree with you. There is an x on the right side of the search box, but it is not very prominent. To make matters worse, the x disappears if one deletes the words of the search (for example, when attempting to clear the search filter), even though the search filter is still in place. At this point, the only way to remove the search filter is to hit enter and run an empty search. Indeed, this is not an intuitive solution.

This functionality hasn't been implemented yet to the new sermon builder, but we have a case to make sure it's there before shipping to stable.

This is definitely a bug and I've written up a case for it. I understand the third card on the row to be your Help Center card. Please correct me if that's inaccurate.

Would you tell me a little bit more, Aaron? Have you ever used the card to set a preferred Bible? Do you have any preferred Bibles and if yes, just one or more than one? This is important information as it relates to dismissal preferences being saved.
And when you say "seems to reset it", do you the card then behaves normally (respecting previous dismissal), or that the reappearing behavior only begins after you have added/removed a card?

I suspect that this also seems to have a bug that is causing it to not respect/save your dismissal preferences. Just to confirm, when the video card reappears after it's been dismissed, is that with the exact same video content or different content? Also, is reappearance immediate or only once you navigate away from and then back to the Dashboard?
Thanks for reporting these issues!

I spent 5 minutes unsuccessfully trying to reproduce this bug. I gave up, closed the video card and top Bible card to test them, then restarted Logos. Now I can drag neither the Get Started Card nor the Help Center Card. I can, however, drag the smaller cards just fine (under "add new").
I restarted Logos again. Now the Top Bible Card has reappeared, but not the video card. Everything drags and drops well.
Now I close the Top Bible Card and restart Logos. The cards now no longer drag and drop, but the Top Bible Card is absent.
Restart Logos, Top Bible Card reappears, but drag and drop works. I think we have identified a pattern.

I have never used the Top Bible Card to set a preferred Bible. I have a large number of preferred Bibles already set.
The reappearing behavior is abnormal and quite possibly linked to the drag-and-drop bug discussed in my previous post.

I have not seen the video card reappear today during this testing process, so I unfortunately cannot currently provide any clarifying information.

Not crazy about the credits progress icon. Wish that was user definable
Do you mean having the option in settings of it showing or not showing? Others including myself have voiced this preference. They said they were going to gauge user feedback in determining if providing this option would be necessary.
Additionally I would love to be able to hide the sync circle. I am not a fan of how it spins to sync and attracts the attention of my eyes so frequently. Of all the icons, this is the one I would most like to hide.

Yes I mean letting me decide if I want to see these icons. I con't really care that much about AI credits progress since I don't use a lot fo them and as a MAX subscriber probably won't exhaust my alloted credits very often.

Sadly, there is no option to restore the simple toolbar. Yes, I understand that some like the subscriber toolbar. If non-subscribers keep the better toolbar (IMO), subscribers should have that option as well. Why penalize us for subscribing?
Also, this is the beta. Is the blue "new" button still necessary for beta testers?

It seems that whenever I create and save new style in the Sermon Builder it will default to italicized text.
There are also some strange behaviors with clicking out of the styles menu and getting the text deselected.
- Select a single word in a paragraph
- Click the style menu
- Click outside of the style menu
- Now a whole bunch a text is selected and requires to additional clicks to deselect the text.

Thanks, Morgan. I will take a look at this and get a case created for those issues.

I use the sermon builder every week, and it is definitely acting different in this new beta. (this post refers to the Mac version).
Typically I paste a Word document into the sermon builder to get started. For starters, the standard paste option would not work. (literally didn't paste anything). I had to right-click in the editor area of sermon builder and select the "paste without formatting" option before it would paste the contents of the Word document, that's new.
Then, once it pasted the text, it immediately tried to create slides for all the content pasted in the editor, that's new. Unfortunately, when it tried to generate the slides, it just created a ton of slides with no content, so I had to right-click each one and select delete to remove them all. (that was very tedious). Then I could go through and select the ranges of text for each slide and generate the slides. I am not sure the new feature in the beta of generating slides for ALL the text pasted into the editor is that helpful of an idea. There is no way it can accurately predict which selections in the text I want slides generated for.
Regarding selecting text and generating a slide for it ... it would be great if the "add slides from selected text" button had a shortcut that could easily be triggered from the left hand. This would greatly speed up the process of generating slides.
Another area that would be helpful if it was remedied ... when using the "export to editable powerpoint" option ... text that has been underlined or bolded in the sermon builder editor is not bolded or underlined in the powerpoint slides that are generated. This results in having to go through the entire powerpoint presentation and re-underline or re-bold all the words again on all the slides.
Thanks,
Phil0 -

Hopefully Logos will respond, as I have mentioned multiple times - the evidence exists on the Forums.... An option is currently possible....

Yes, if the UI is in English. Otherwise it fails.
Best you do this as bold or italic.

I agree 100%. For my eyes, this icon will be terribly distracting. For the same reasons Kevin cited, I have no need for this icon. Logos, please include an option in program settings to hide this distracting AI credit icon.
If a rare situation occurs causing me to want to check my AI credit balance, it could be reflected along with the hide/unhide button in program settings, but I would keep the toolbar button hidden, just like I always keep the store button hidden.

After reviewing the release notes, I was disappointed to see no option has yet been added to hide the secondary toolbar by default upon opening a new resource panel. Logos, please add this option.
