ESV Read aloud Word by Word Indicator not working

Good morning all.

Since migrating to Logos Pro, it seems the Word by Word indicator is not working, at least on ESV which is the resource I'm usually wanting to use it with. I unsure whether this is a resource-specific, or more general problem.

Any help appreciated.

I will try to remember to check when I get back to my computer. However: which specific OS & App version are you using?

I've just tried it on Windows and it worked fine for me.

    Which platform are you using?

I was able to check on macOS and it is not fully working. There are two issues:

    1. It is not keeping up / staying in sync with the reading.

    2. The "ball" is a light gray dot. I have seen this before and it had been corrected. Seems like a regression.

I am running Logos 37.2 on macOS 15.1

    Is this actually an issue.

    The support article has:

Note: Selecting Show word by word indicator activates a small gray dot that synchronizes with the narration. This option is only available when using "custom voices" (i.e. not the system narrator) and is therefore limited to the ESV and LEB. When reading in other Bibles, an orange circle appears briefly indicating the start of each new verse.

I don't use the feature, but it used to be golden... so as to be noticeable. In any case, it was not in sync on my macBook.

    Hi all,

    Thanks for your replies.

I'm using Version 37.2.12 on Mac Sequoia 15.0.1

I'm aware that this is only intended to work with a downloaded narrator and not the system narrator, but I am getting nothing on either ESV or LEB

    Thanks.

    UPDATE:

I've been doing a little more troubleshooting and discovered that this only happens when I use the resource on a second screen as an extended display. It works on the main display of my Macbook, but not when I use a second screen as an extended display.

If I use the second screen as the main display I do get the grey dot, even if I move the app screen back on to my Mac's built in screen (which is now the extended display).

    Thanks.
