Constant Sync Error (38.0 Beta 2 38.0.548, WIN 11)

For the past 3 weeks, when the Desktop app launches and when it tries to sync, it results with the the red exclamation mark in the sync icon and the tooltip message, "An error occurred during synchronization, click to try again".

Since no one else has reported this problem, I figure it must be my system.

To get the results recorded in the logs, I launched Logos to a blank layout, waited a moment, clicked on the sync icon, waited a moment, clicked on the sync icon, waited, then closed the app.

What do I need to do to fix this?

It appears to be related to sermon writer. I don't know how to advise beyond that.

I am having the same sync issue.

By "the same," you mean you read the logs and see that it is related to the sermon writer?

Apparently it is involving the Sermon Builder. Started after I wrote a sermon Saturday, at least that is when I noticed it. That sermon is not showing on my other devices.

Thank you for the reports, Tim and Alan! I am seeing some logs on our side related to this issue. It appears to be having trouble syncing some Passage and Clipping blocks. The team is chasing this down now.

Tim, Alan, we have found one way to get a sermon in this sync state. Do you see any passage blocks or clippings that are missing the header? I was able to get this to happen by changing a passage block to another block type (like illustrations) and then hitting "Undo" (or Ctrl-Z). That block is breaking sync. If you can find any like that, change them to a different block type, then reopen Logos, it should sync again.
If you delete the block it will still block sync (as it is still trying to sync the deleted block).
Either way, we are working to get a fix out.

@Dustin Mackintosh, does my error log identify which sermon document is causing the problem? If not, I'm going to have to go through several documents to find it.

    Thanks for your help.

@Dustin Mackintosh, I went through a couple dozen sermon documents that I probably created or edited over the past 2 months and fixed several passage blocks and clippings according to your instructions that may have been causing the problem, but I still get the sync error indication after re-launching Logos. Either I didn't find them all or while creating/editing a document I deleted an offending block before knowing the cause of this problem.

I hope the fix your team is working on will correct any currently offending documents and prevent them in the future.

    Thanks for your help.

At a glance I don't see any. I will dig into them a little deeper this week and see if I can find anything like that.
