Syntax Search hanging on certain lemma.
I didn't see this mentioned in the release notes but the Syntax Search hangs on certain lemmas; I was searching for "pas ho + whatever word" and I got the article but pas just wouldn't go. See screen shot below.
But even so WOO HOO!! WORD LEVEL SEARCHING HAPPENING!

I like "Syntax search word level stuff works except sometimes" [:D] I'm downloading Beta 3 now, and will see if I can confirm what you're getting later today (depending on how long this all takes!)

Ok,
There are definately still some problems here, however the searches will work if you are able to select a word -
First - The lemma drop down box takes a long time to load a list of words.
Second - The lemma drop down box will not recognize a word you're typing as soon as an accent mark or breathing mark is required. So typing πα will get you a list of words (after a great deal of waiting), but none of the words will be accented on the α (for exmaple, πάς will not be found, since it requires an accent over the α). This makes searching for words starting with vowels problematic, since they require breathing marks.
Third - The list of words in the drop down box is not alphabetical.
EDIT - The best and quickest way to get a word is to right click on the word, for example in the NA27, select "lemma," then "copy," and then paste it into the appropriate lemma box. This works wonderfully, however I still want to be able to type words in myself.
Also, template searches now work! I like these a lot Great work!

David,
thanks for sussing that out for me....I went ahead and copied and pasted the pas from the ESV and it found it in the list; and the search worked...not a good perm solution, but it will do for now.
Another thing that I hope they are going to address is the search results colors. In V3; the separate terms were colored differently...not a huge thing but visually it was more pleasing and understandable at a glance.
Example: on the left; color coded results; on the right....current color of results.

You beat me to it
I didn't see your post before I edited mine. Yes, this is a good temporary solution.

All three of these issues have been addressed subsequent to the release of Beta 3 (namely, this morning) and will be available in Beta 4. The lemma suggestion list is no longer as picky about marks and the list of suggestions is sorted. Also, the suggestion lists should now generate faster than before.
A note on specifying textual constraints: picking an item from the list of suggestions will always produce the best results since the list of suggestions is actually generated from the terms that exist in the resource. If it's in the list, it exists in the database.

Cameron,
That's excellent. Thanks for noting all that and addressing the problems. I have no problem at all picking a lemma from a list. My main desire was to be able to type a word quickly without breathing and accent marks so that I could pick the appropriate choice from the list. It sounds like that's exactly what I'll be able to do! Thanks for all the hard work!
