4.0d Beta 1: Request: Please make mytags: a synonym for mytag:

I don't know how many times I've accidentally typed mytags: when trying to filter my library by tag, and then when nothing shows up I've remembered it doesn't have an s on it and had to correct it. Could you please make mytags: work as a synonym for mytag:? It's such an easy and logical mistake to make, since the field title is "My Tags."

I wouldn't trust my grammar teacher (from eighth grade) to adjudicate on this. I had a disagreement with him once. He insisted that the verb is in the passive voice in the sentence "The roast turned on the rotisserie." I agreed with him that the sentence does not mean that the roast flipped the switch to turn the rotisserie on, but I maintained that the construction of the sentence is still such that "turned" is an active verb. It would be "The roast was turned on the rotisserie" if it were in the passive voice. Other languages such as Latin can indicate passive verbs through inflection, but English does not. It uses an auxiliary verb. [Actually, I just did some reading on this and discovered the existence of ergative verbs, and I guess this one was an ergative verb in the middle voice, a rare beast in English indeed. But it still wasn't passive!]

Anyway, if grammar mattered in library filters, the plural would be called for in cases such as mytags:(History,Theology). So there! [:)]
