Early Church Fathers not downloading

I just purchased ECF Protestant edition downloadable but it won't download. I have Logos 3. I also tried to download the Logos 4 crossload but 86% of the way through it gave me an error message saying that the download cannot be completed. I am less concerned about getting the Logos 4 crossload. I am more concerned with spending $245 for a ECF and not getting the download I paid for. Can anyone help?

We'll try to help.

First, realize that this is a three day weekend in the States, so you may, or may not see a Logos employee respond.

Second, did Logos4 download the files, and can you open them?

Third, the problem with downloading them to L3 is not unheard of. A download can be corrupted for many, many reasons, only a few of which would have anything to do with Logos the company.

You may be able to restart the by going to your account and clicking the download script one more time. If that doesn't work, you may need to delete the partial download and then start over.

You can find your account info and the download script on this page (assumes you signed in to Logos.com with your user ID):

Just click on your order number and then on "download instructions for previous versions"

You can find the install files here on most systems (I think. going from memory here, as I haven't used Libronix in quite a while):

C:\Program Files\Libronix DLS\Inbound\

Look for the lbxlls files there and delete them. Then restart the download.

If your download still fails, report back and we'll see what we can do.

Don't worry about not getting something you paid for. Logos does very well at taking care of their customers. If you cannot get it to download, call Logos on Tuesday and they will help you.

Thanks to all for your prompt replies. Almost everything seems to be remedied now. Last night, I took another plunge-- I downloaded and installed the full LS4 update (my earlier attempt was the unsuccessful crossload version). I am just now getting a chance to explore LS4 this morning. It is too soon in my LS4 experience to know how useful it will be, but I think I like what I see so far. To my relief, the Early Church Fathers files are present, open and working well. I am still left with $75 out of pocket for the crosslaod that did not download, but based on your replies, I am optimistic that Logos will refund that money to me. I am disappointed that Logos is not being more careful to review their website for outdated information. Their page for purchasing ECF should explicitly say "Download for LS3 is no longer available." The corrupt file in the crossload also should be addressed, but I am allowing that Logos might not be aware of that problem. All in all, ECF cost me almost $500 when you include the need for downloading the full LS4. I went into this thinking ECF would cost me only $245. But if my first positive impression of LS4 holds up then I will admit that the extra expense was worth it. We'll see. Again, thanks for the your replies.
