Improvements Are Coming to the Logos Forums!
Hello Logos Community!
I’m Jason Stone, Senior Community Manager at Logos. We’ve got some major updates rolling out to our forums in the coming weeks, and I’d like to give you a glimpse of what’s ahead.
We’ve been listening closely to your feedback and working behind the scenes to create a more efficient and user-friendly experience. These updates will make it easier for you to connect with fellow users, fully leverage our products, share your suggestions with us, and stay up to date with the latest company news.
What’s Changing?
Over the next few weeks, you’ll notice a significant transformation in our forums. While the design and capabilities will be enhanced, this is much more than just a facelift—we’re building a more powerful platform to serve you better. Here’s what you can expect:
- Improved Forums: We’re making it easier for you to engage with other Logos users, share insights on Bible study, product tips, and much more. Whether you’re a pastor, student, or layperson, we want to strengthen the sense of community that makes Logos so special. You can expect new features like user tagging, reaction options for posts, improved mobile usability, and more!
- A Space for Your Voice: We plan to integrate product feedback (from feedback.logos.com) into the forums! This new platform will make it easier to submit product suggestions and feedback, with the ability to upvote and comment, empowering you to play an active role in shaping the future of Logos.
- Search and Stay Informed: Whether it’s company announcements or product updates, we’ll make sure you have the latest information right at your fingertips. You’ll be able to search across forum posts, product suggestions, support articles, and release notes, and even subscribe to notifications in different categories.
- Access to Support Material: Finding help for Logos, Verbum, or Proclaim will be quicker and easier than ever. We’re consolidating support materials so you can find answers in one place, without needing to search across multiple platforms or contact support. And if you do need help, our team will still be here for you.
Brief Downtime Coming
As we finalize these changes, there will be a short period of downtime. We understand this might cause some inconvenience, but we’re committed to keeping you informed every step of the way. We’ll provide updates both here on the forums and at status.faithlife.com.
If you need assistance during this brief downtime, don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team at logos.com/contact. We’ll be ready to assist with any urgent issues.
Looking Ahead
These updates are all about serving you better. We want to help you connect, learn, and grow with Logos more effectively than ever. Our community is built on a shared love for God’s Word and a passion for deepening our understanding through digital tools. These changes are designed to help you make the most of every product, resource, and feature we offer.
Thank you for being such an important part of this community and for helping us make it even better. I can’t wait for you to experience the improvements ahead. Let’s keep growing, learning, and sharing together!
Stay tuned for more updates—and thank you for your continued support!
Best regards,
Jason Stone

Thanks Jason this is good news. I use to post more often on the forums but dropped off for a bit. glad to see it getting some "love" and am excited about the coming enhancements. Since I have been using Logos since the Pastor's Library days and Libronix so the future looks bright.
Thanks again and blessings to you and the Logos Team

Will we be losing all previous discussions when the new software appears? Or will all these old conversations be integrated and grandfathered in somehow?

Great questions, Ben! The Logos community has been at it for years and that context is invaluable so our plan is to move all of the content from community.logos.com and feedback.logos.com into our new community platform.

I hope the "improved mobile" is full mobile compatible functioning. It's been a LONG time coming. Also hope that there is a significant improving relating to the ability to filter out sub-forums I have no interest in seeing or reading.
Those two improvements would be outstanding!

Frank, thank you for taking a moment to drop a note. Those are solid concerns and in consideration of those points I think you will be pleased with the new platform!

the send-to-email function... Will I still be able to do that?
Just to clarify, do you mean email notifications concerning thread correspondence? If so, yes! If not, please provide me a bit more context.

Please continue to support RSS. I would likely stop reading the forums regularly if I can't read them in my RSS reader.
Paul, there are RSS capabilities built into the new system and we hope that will be sufficient for your needs. I am making a note to follow-up on the ability for community members to subscribe to particular categories.

Hello
I have again important wishes.
1. A button to search for Case Sensitive
2. A button to search only whole words.
3. A AND function. So only post with both: If "Hello" AND "you" are hits. Currently it finds all post like OR, so it finds either "Hello" OR "you" is in. But this doubles the hits instead of filters it to the posts with only both words are in. Best use the same logic as in Logos.
Thanks

This is almost as exciting as a new Logos version launch! lol
I may be a little biased because this is a passion project of mine, but I couldn't agree with you more, Myke!

Thank you so much for this update. I remember 2 years ago around the Logos 10 launch someone said they are considering modernizing the forum. And yet I haven’t seen change and thought they have abandon it due to resource constraints.
Typing this on mobile is not fun, and I’m looking forward for the change.
Thank you so much for this update.
You're very welcome! Cannot wait to see you there, Kolen.

We’re thrilled to announce that we’re only weeks away from unveiling the brand-new Logos Community! After gathering invaluable feedback from our amazing beta testers and staff, we’re are making the final tweaks to ensure this platform is tailored to your needs.
Mark your calendars for November 18! On that date, we’ll be migrating all existing data and content from community.logos.com, feedback.logos.com, and wiki.logos.com to our new community platform, which will live here at community.logos.com. There will be a brief downtime as we make the switch, but once live, you’ll be welcomed into a fresh, intuitive, and engaging space designed for your growth in the Word and connection with other users from around the globe.
Thank you for being part of this journey! We’re counting down the days to the launch of your new community home.

Over the years, I have bookmarked various forum threads that I wanted saved and refer back to from time to time. Will those bookmarked links remain the same? How will I be able to locate those threads? Do I need to do anything to save those threads before the migration?

Should the direct links not work anymore, you could always try and enter the address here, usually the threads will be archived: https://web.archive.org/

If you bookmarked those in your browser, you will still be able to access those. We will be setting redirects so that everything is still accessible on the new site.
If you bookmarked them to your forums profile (as a Favorite), we are doing everything that we can and hoping to have Favorites migrated to your new platform profile (but we cannot guarantee that). There is a lot to move; and small bits may be lost here and there. Our tests have been successful in moving Favorites from the old platform to the new; but I'm trying to remain transparent.

Just a reminder that November 18 is the big day for our migration! We’ll be moving all data and content from community.logos.com, feedback.logos.com, and wiki.logos.com over to the new platform at the same website, community.logos.com. During this process, there will be some brief downtime, up to a few days, but it won’t be long before we open the doors to an enhanced, user-friendly space designed to foster deeper connections and support your journey in the Word.
Thank you for your patience, and we can’t wait for you to experience your new community home!

Will our accounts and current passwords also be migrated, just asking for a friend
Hello, friend! Community members will sign into the new platform using their Logos account.

@Fabian - does this link do you what you want?
@Donovan Palmer Unfortunately not. It filters only to see the post over all.
But my whish is either to filter the searched posts. Or to select my post, participated etc. and then do a search. In other words. Either first to filter and then do a search. Or do a search and then to filter.
Currently the filters fade away if you do a search.

Hello Jason,
You need to adjust the website refresh behavior. For example I was in a thread. I haven't seen in the forum, that new posts are coming in. But I got emails for new posts. So I had to refresh the site by my own. Some have a self refresh all minutes. And if new posts have coming in, it gives a pop up.

(In the future, I hope I don't have to write a comment to give your announcement a "thumbs up". [:)]
It's great news. Thanks.
You got that right, Lew! See this note from my announcement above...
You can expect new features like user tagging, reaction options for posts, improved mobile usability, and more!

Also, great to hear from you! I've always appreciated you, Antony.

A much better forum search capability would be appreciated.
We think you'll be satisfied with the improvements there!

It is just one person's opinion, but the search for me in the beta has been night and day better compared to the search in the old forums. The search in these old forums is so bad that I do not use it and instead rely on Google for searching. I have stopped using Google and use the search in the beta exclusively now. Excited to see it coming to production next week!
