Screen reader accommodation

When using the iPad screen reader, the most recent app layout changes have resulted in the screen reader reading the full title of the textbook every time it turns the page. This is quite disruptive to the flow of being able to listen along. Removing the title from what would be read by the screen reader would be very helpful.

@Snyder , Sarah If I'm understanding you correctly, you are saying that the Read Aloud feature is reading the title of your resource/book every time the page turns with "Scroll view" toggled off. Correct? I have tried to reproduce this issue on my iPad and I am not seeing this issue. Can you please provide more details:
1. What book are you reading when you see this issue?
2. What app version are you on (found in the Help section of the menu)?

@Ali Pope I have version 10.0.2 on iPad, and what I am reading is Systematic Theology: An Introduction to Biblical Doctrine (Second Edition). As far as I can tell, audio through the app is not an option on this resource, so I am using the screen reader function of the iPad in its accessibility tools to read the screen. Before the latest update, it did fine. But the latest update makes it read the title every time the page turns. It behaves the same whether scroll view is turned on or off. Hope that helps!

When one uses Siri to read and the page turns automatically, Siri will read the title of the book every time because it is always visible in the open book. If that could be removed (like it used to be) when one is reading a book, it would be great! Currently I’m reading most books outside of commentaries on Kindle because of this inconvenience. While the title shows on the Kindle app, Siri does not read it every time the page turns. There are some titles that are pretty long and it’s best not to hear it repeated over and over after each page turns. Thank you!

I like to use my phone to read books to me using VoiceOver (iPhone). This is a feature that works just fine in other apps but not in Logos.

In Logos, every time there is a page turn, the app repeats a large chunk of text that has already been read. If makes the feature unusable.
Please rewrite the software so that it simply continues reading where it left off.

@Frank Hart This is a known issue and comes with a few implications. Nonetheless, we have a case created for it.

Addition to iOS app
In the iOS app there is a “back button” that will take you to the previous passage that you were at. It would be nice to also have a “forward” button so that you could go back to where you were before you hit the back button.
