BUG: Switching device orientation messes up page margins on mobile app

This bug has been reported on previous versions of the mobile app, but I thought I'd mention it again. It's a daily annoyance.
My page margins change (sometimes leaving only a few lines of text) when switching the orientation of the device. It could be related to my View Settings. I use two columns and have inline footnotes are turned on. When I rotate the device from landscape to portrait and then back, the margins are all messed up. I can two-finger swipe to a different resource and then swipe back to fix it for a short while.
I'm on an iPad Pro (11-inch) (3rd generation), running iPadOS 18.1. The Logos app is 37.0.3 (1). Here's the previous mention on the forums.

I can confirm it as well. I am on a stable build of iPadOS 18.1.

Bump.
Got a new iPad Air 11-inch (M2) last week, running iPadOS 18.1.1 and Logos 37.0.3 (1). Same problem. And still a daily annoyance—I mean, I have to "fix" it 5-10 times every morning during my reading time.
Is there a better way of reporting a bug like this? Seems like this is the kind of issue that anyone thinking of purchasing Logos might notice when they download the app and simply switch from scrolling to two columns. Could be the difference between a new customer and a delete-this-app-and-all-its-data scenario.0 -

This looks like :

Yah, looks like.
I wish I knew how to tag it as a bug. It’s such a long-standing problem, I’m surprised more users haven’t encountered it (apparently).

I suspect it's device screen size specific.

It is tagged as a bug - the option has been added to the tag list that shows at the bottom of the initial post in a thread. In this case, it was transferred from the old forums and needed staff to set the tag.

Thanks! Someone must've updated the tags. Originally it was only tagged 'mobile'.
And @DMB, I suspect you're right about the screen size. Should be easy to debug, but I wonder how many are experiencing it. If it's just screen size coupled with specific settings (e.g., scrolling OFF, two columns, inline notes ON), there might be many others having this issue.

Wonderful. Thanks, @Jason Stone (Logos)!

I’m always hopeful when I see a new update for the mobile app. Today we’re up to 39.0.0 (125) and still no fix for this!

Android too.

Another update, 39.0.1 (2). Nice. Is it now fixed, so I won't have to do that workaround 17 times every time I read? Sadly, no.

I'm still having issues with this, plus I also have an issue where the text shifts up if I switch to another app and back.

I hadn’t notice that, but sure enough mine does the same thing now.

We have opened a ticket for the issue where text shifts up after switching to another app.
We are not able to reliably reproduce the issue with page margins changing after changing the orientation, even though some of you report that you experience it frequently.
I would appreciate it if anyone experiencing this issue could do the following:
First, go to More > About and make sure that you have the current Stable version (39.0.1 for iOS or 39.0.0 for Android).
Then make a video of this behavior. Upload it to this thread, or email the file or a link to cs@logos.com, making sure to include a link to this thread in your email.

Certainly. Thank you for looking into this. It's a daily irritation for some of us.
This is iOS 39.0.1 (2) on a iPad Air 11-inch M2 running iPadOS 18.2.1. It affects all resources.

We consider these two issues )see below) to be two sides of the same coin. They are both included in the same ticket. We are working on a fix.
1. Text shifts up after navigating to another app
2. Margins change after orientation is changed

Interesting. Thank you for looking into this.
FWIW, navigating to another app (then back) and switching to another resource (then back) seems to “fix” it (temporarily, at least) when the text has shifted up. It doesn’t seem to cause the text to shift up.
Also, I can’t replicate left-or-right margin changes after changing the orientation. But the text shifting up after an orientation change happens rather consistently.
