Logos Desktop takes a very long time to start

Hello, I've noticed that about 25% of the time I start up Logos (currently 37.2.12) on my MacBook Pro it gets stuck and takes an extremely long amount of time to start. Sometimes it starts up just fine without delay, but sometimes it can literally take 15-30 minutes to start. I'm on a 2019 MacBook Pro 16" (Intel i9, 2.3 GHz) with plenty of RAM (32GB) and plenty of available hard drive space (currently 259GB free) on macOS Sequoia 15.1.1. Usually, it hangs on the "preparing resources" dialog and sometimes it hangs after the dialog box disappears before the app itself opens. I've noticed this happening ever since macOS Sequoia was released.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Logos, is this a known issue?

Wonder if there is a corrupt catalog or index causing that - I might start with running the Rebuild Index command once open. I remember times on my Linux install the Library catalog would get corrupted and deleting that would stop this type of behavior

This appears to have resolved it. Thank you, Frank!

Looks like I should have made this a question. But I can't find a way to delete this post so I can create a new one. 🤔

I've converted it into a question for you, @Bobby Bosler.

I recommend enabling diagnostic logging and then, when the lag occurs, stop Logos and upload logs in a reply to this thread
Details of doing this are available at https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360027869132-How-to-Enable-and-Submit-Log-Files

Hello… I have followed on your recommendations to rebuild the index, I am not sure how long this procedure normally takes, but it does look like its going to take a long time…

Did indexing fix your problem and how long did it take + how many books in Library?

Hello.
I don’t even think it took place. It did not give me feedback as to progress or time, only th option to pause indexing for 4 hours. I have over 100 books I believe…

So… tonight I decided to reinstall Logos for the 2nd time… I read in the forums someone said he was going to uninstall and install Logos fresh…I think I will try that if reinstalling Logos does not work again…

I clicked open, and voila! seems that there wasn’t a delay starting… I am hoping that this stays for a while until a newer software update takes place…

I apologize for not having my own thread…
I did not succeed reinstalling Logos, so I will try to uninstall and install it fresh.
