Just purchased Logos for the first time. It seems a lot of the help videos and articles are for earlier versions. I'm not even sure which version I have. But for example there is no home button. or no parallel lines. And many of the features explained in the videos on my dashboard don't work. When i spend time investigating why it seems they were replaced or changed.
How do I figure out which version I have? Where is some basic training that is accurate for my version?

Yes, I just subscribed to the premium package. I did see the 5 min get oriented video (thanks for attaching the link).

Yes, they were produced for the Logos 10 release (which was just over a couple of years ago) and there have been a number of changes since then

As David said, they are being worked on.

Any Logos 10 (or previous) videos/articles will demonstrate an older version of Logos that you do not have.

One thing you'll figure out quickly is that Logos is WICKED POWERFUL 😁 But yes, as has already been said, there is so much help on these fora, by people with literally tens of thousands of postings spent helping others. I have NEVER failed to get an answer when something eluded me and I came here to seek help.

Thanks all for the great welcome. My background, I'm just a believer with a zeal for studying the word. I've just upgraded from my wide margin Schuyler and looking up things on blueletterbible and Wikipedia.
Logos is pretty overwhelming. The features of the tool and the libraries.
Can you recommend the essential first library purchase? I'm thinking a good bible dictionary or commentary set. I dont have an unlimited budget so hoping to find only the basics for now and build over time. I'm currently reading thru the whole bible, verse by verse exegesis style. This is the first time I've done it, 5 years in and I'm on Hebrews.
Please would love any recommendations.

There are a lot of libraries to choose from. You are always going to find the best value with Legacy Library packages or the current Libraries (presently the 2025 Libraries) vs buying smaller bundles or individual titles from Logos.com.

Legacy Libraries can be found here: https://www.logos.com/legacy-libraries
It will be much more difficult and time-consuming to filter through the Legacy Libraries, but if you have the time and interest, it might be worth it. They are all a great deal, but which ones are best for you would depend on the books you are looking for. All of these packages will contain books that you're not initially interested in, but the trick is to identify the packages that contain the highest percentage of books that do interest you.
There's currently a 30% off sale on your first 2025 Library, so that may influence your decision. In your shoes, I would initially choose from the 2025 libraries to take advantage of the sale but keep the legacy libraries in mind for future reference. The price of Libraries will decrease for you over time as you accumulate resources, because Logos never charges twice for the same resource, so the price of the resources you previously bought will be deducted from the total price of the library (called dynamic pricing). There will be more 2025 (Denominational) Libraries to choose from in Q1 of next year, but if one of the current 2025 Libraries interests you, you can't go wrong.
Which package you choose will depend on what you are willing to spend, but with the information you shared, I think the 2025 Silver Leader Library would be one you would thoroughly enjoy for many years to come. There's no doubt that it's worth the money, if indeed you have the money to spend (keeping the 30% discount in mind).
