Can't get beta 3 to install.
Hi all.
I started this morning on Beta 1, and decided that I'd pay the few dollars for going over my download limit while upgrading to beta 3. Well, it turns out that it decided to go to beta 2 first, and now I seem to be stuck there.
I keep seeing 24MB (or so) downloads, but never seem to get any further than that - I'm always still on beta 2 afterwards.
The logs show a download failure.
Regards,
Nigel

Don't do it - unless you do mean a few dollars for 1.5+ GB!! That would cost me $200 - $300!

$3 per gigabyte - I'm on ADSL, not a mobile phone plan.
Thanks for the warning, though!

So you are able to launch beta 2 but the beta 3 download never goes? Is the indexer still running, what does the tooltip say? If the indexer has finished, try re-launching Logos4 and wait several minutes, it is supposed to pop up with the download automatically.. Let me know

Hi George.
I can run Beta 2. It only indexes for a little while (as the log shows), then runs like normal. After a while, the systray icon appears saying that new updates are ready for installation, but it always seems to be the same resource.
I'll watch jnettop and record exactly what files are being retrieved, if that will help.

The URLs are /LBS4/LDLS4Installer/Logo4.msi from 191-245.amazon.com, as well as Logos4UpdateScript.lbxdat and Logos4Setup.exe in the same directory and server.

Hi again.
The log says that downloading to the directory C:\Users\Nigel\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\uceu5vs0.x23\Downloads\Updates\4.0.2.9919 failed. I checked and saw that the last level of directory (4.0.2.9919) didn't exist but 4.0.2.8804 did. I've therefore tried creating the directory.

Hi (again!)
I tried wgetting those files in the hope that I'd be able to run the upgrade manually. They all return 404 errors, so I get that's the reason I'm not getting anywhere.

Nigel

9919 is the new update, I'm wondering what is stopping your computer from getting that update. Can you launch logos 4 and play around with it, and wait up to 5 minutes, then zip up the logs and attach them here? Thanks.

Hi George.
I've tried, but they're no different to the logs I attached above.

I looked at the URL in the RSS feed for updates, then manually downloaded and ran the installation program. Now I'm on Beta 3.
