When using L4 my CPU goes up to 100%. When I close the Logos it remains at 100%. The only way to get everything back to normal is to restart Windows 7 and after that everything is fine until I open L4.
When you hit Ctrl + Alt + Del and bring up the task manager, what task(s) is it showing that are using excessive CPU?
To find out, choose the "Processes" tab and then click on the CPU row to show which are taking up all of the CPU. This will maybe help us determine if it is Logos or something else.
Logos4 may be indexing - after closing the main Logos4 program, check if the Logos icon is in the tray. Hovering the mouse over the icon will tell you what it is doing.
Generally, indexing is done after: Initial install, major software update and adding new resources to your collection. If it's causing your computer to slow down you can pause it.
At home I use Logos 4 with a netbook and let it index overnight...

The culprit seems to be PresentationFontCache.exe. When I try to stop the process it just returns. Suspending it does the trick though

It seems this is a known problem: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/wpf/thread/2e47b80a-1423-466f-873a-8536a64ebe3cwith, thankfully, a possible solution:
"You could try stopping the service, deleting the file it creates: Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\FontCache4.0.0.0.dat and restarting the service to check if that helps." (taken from the above URL).
The service is used by WPF, which Logos uses, and it seems it may go awry from time to time...
JThat did the trick. Thanks
