Related Passages in the Insights sidebar is the place to start. This is what I got from 1 John 1-5:21
You could try this search string in a Bible Search
bible:"john" IN milestone:bible:"1 John - 3 John"
Thanks Jack and Graham for your response. That really helped.
To Graham:
Where can I find more examples like bible:"john" IN milestone:bible:"1 John - 3 John"
I am interested in other datatypes and learned a lot on the forums. Would like some simple examples. The date datatype is one I like but do not know how to use.
Hi @Al Graham
Where can I find more examples like
Is the information at https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044454351-How-do-I-use-Search-Operators-in-Logos the sort of thing you are looking for?
Yes, this helps a lot. Somewhere I ran across the use of datatypes such as
Date 5th decade of the 500s AD
These may be from Logos9 as I saw changes to 10 in the link you provided.
Documentation which is current would help also.
The Logos helpfile is current and defines all the operators as well.
(Some of the dataset documentation does not show current search syntax but I saw in a seperate thread that this is something the Logos team want to address).
date:"12th century" works in search box I don't seem to find anything about date or other datatypes.
Looked in Logos Help and found the Faithlife Logos Search Group, should I post there.
date:"12th century" works in search box I don't seem to find anything about
date
or other datatypes.
The Logos Helpfile has information about search fields - including dates https://ref.ly/logosres/logos4help?hw=Search+Fields&off=2723
I would post in this forum - and I suggest you start a different thread with a subject related to what you are trying to find out. It could get lost in this one.
I'm not quite sure what you are trying to achieve so please explain in as much detail as possible.
Yes, there seems to be a lot of powerful searches that could be done but I would think it is very complex.
Thankful for what Logos can do and pray it will get even better.
Graham thank you for your help over the years.
I just want to say to you Graham Criddle that I used that milestone operator as you showed me for the Bible and now have it bookmarked. I then went into my books and used the milestone operator for books and I jumped for joy in finding so many resources in my own library. The Word of God just becomes greater and greater in my life. I have such a hunger to be a student in the Word using the Logos platform. Know The Word! Thank you so much! And thank you Logos.
As the title says, I mis-clicked when editing and added "concieve" to the dictionary. I've searched the forums already, but the method I found (using the command/go box) doesn't seem to work anymore. Any help is appreciated!
OK, I have thought for awhile that the new Discover lens and the 'Store' icon were not working properly in Verbum/Mac - new features in 45.0. I can't get either to show up! But now I have narrowed this down to show that something is broken only on the Verbum/Mac app (don't know about Verbum/Windows) and app.verbum.com So…
My Birthday code is not working.
Hi all, I know a resource like cascadia will give (for the NT) all occurrences of a noun as a subject or object and the associated verbs with it. Is there some way in Logos to do the same thing in the LXX? For example, if I were to look for all the occurences of the word, ναος, I would like logos to give me all the verbs…
Can someone help? How do I download the books I bought from Logos, so that I can use it offline?
