Proclaim - Better Options for a 'Print Out'

We are navigating how we can make our service more accessible - particularly for those with visual impairments. The options to print/export a service are limited in functionality.

The print out, as I see it, only has small images of the slides.

PowerPoint has a good 'hand out' option. If a presentation could be downloaded as a PPTX file this would be a good help.

Better yet - a 'Hand Out' option which has just words, rather than slides and graphics, and lets you play round with font size.

Whilst I'd love this (these) as a feature. I'd be glad to hear of 'work arounds' that others have done.

Have you tried using the Digital Bulletin before? Unfortunately I'm not sure we have a great solution for this at the moment — maybe others in the community can provide a recommendation.

I've got similar concerns. Every week our service leaders and preachers will use physical printouts of the entire proclaim service, instead of having a tablet or laptop with them on pulpit. One of our guys will even preach without a manuscript/notes, only using the slides as a prompt to keep him on track.

Why? 1. Compared to using a tablet, the physical print out allows them to more easily see what's coming up. 2. They will often write their own notes on the margins (especially when things change last minute, way easier to do that then edit proclaim notes). 3. It's way easier to print out the slides and just hand them to whoever needs it than mess around with the technology (or train them up to use the tech).

How? I agree with you @Stuart Irvin that the default option is too small. One of our guys ended up creating a custom script that allows us to export/print the service with 6 slides per A4 page instead of the default 18(ish?). Much easier for everyone to read. It's a bit jank, but happy to share that with you if it will be helpful?

    Suggestions:

    • Print from within Proclaim: Currently the 'Print Presentation' opens an online browser to the Logos Documents site, which you need to log in to, and only then can you begin to print. May we please change this? It adds a heap of additional steps and failure points - for example, I use logos/proclaim with my personal account and don't want to share those details with someone else so that they can print. We also had an internet outage the other week on the Sunday morning, and while our LAN connections meant we could still run the proclaim presentation, access the printer etc - if the only way we can access the document is online then we can't print it.
    • Printout Options: All uses to scale the number of slides that are printed out per page. It needs to be scalable from 1-20, maybe more.

Cheers guys, and thanks @David Cosand (Logos) for your comment earlier. Keen to here if there is any more development in this space.
