power lookup

this is not working and I have no idea why not.

I am reading Romans 2 and want to 'lookup' all the cross references in the NASB. I highlight the tab, open the power lookup tool, and the column is blank

what am I doing wrong?

I click anywhere in the Bible text and it works find. I have it set to follow.

I keep the Power Lookup open as a tab in my daily Layout - set to the same Link Set as my Bible and Commentaries - it follows along without issue.

As Frank mentioned, you should look at the Power Lookup settings and make sure it is either linked or set to "follow".

that could be it. I looked up the information on it, and it didn't mention linking it. I highlighted a portion of text, made that my active tab, right click menu, power tab, and it would show the first few words of the highlighted text and nothing else.

linking them is working

The Power Lookup tool displays the text associated with a selected type of reference, such as a footnote, in a secondary panel. ...o can be accessed from the Context menu,Click Tools > Lookup > Power Lookup, or type Power Lookup in the Find tools box and press Enter. Power Lookup displays the full text of references in your primary resource panel.

no mention of linking. I see that other entries on power lookup mention linking but not as essential for it to work

You have settings in the power lookup. If it is set to none, then it will not populate. If it is set to follow, then it will populate whatever resource is active. If it is linked it will only populate for that resource.

Yes, I am learning this now. But I read about power lookup in the Logos Help feature and it didn't say that. It was just something like highlight the passage or the active window. I don't remember. thank you

The Logos helpfile has this

With a resource open, click Tools > Lookup > Power Lookup. The text contained in each of the references is displayed. For example, the text of Bible references and footnotes will appear in the Power Lookup panel.

Power Lookup will follow along as the user scrolls through a resource.
To change the scroll behavior, open the panel and choose None from the menu. To change it back, choose Follow from the anel icon menu

So it does briefly discuss the use of the Follow button

(I agree it should say panel instead of anel!)

Open the resource you want to study using the Library or Command box.
Open the Context menu by right-clicking within a resource. Choose Selection, Reference, Lemma, or Root on the left side of the menu, and then click Power Lookup on the right side. Power Lookup will open in a new panel.

This is what I saw. It doesn't say I need to click follow or link it to work.

Later on it says that if I want it to follow I can click on that, but I just wanted it to display what I highlighted. Too different things in my mind.
