Can't start Draw on Screen with command-F8

I used the draw on screen feature a lot when teaching last Fall, and appreciate it. I haven't tried using the feature since the big upgrade a couple of months ago. But I tried again today, and am having a problem. I can turn it on and use it through the bottom-left corner menu, but I cannot start the feature by using the keystroke Cmnd+F8 (and either using the fn key with the keystroke, or not using it, neither way works). I have the latest Logos, 39.1.6, and the latest Mac version on my MacBook Air.

I'm on 36.1.6 and it works (option-cmd-f8). Latest macOS on an M1.

So, as you suggest, something may have changed on the Logos side.

Thanks. I've tried all combinations of command-option-control-fn + F8 and nothing happens. Other keystrokes work, like voice-over for example, but not draw on screen.
