How do I use these forums? is there a guide? I am looking for the older categories and tags requires you to have a correctly tagged post and to know specific tags. I would like to browse before I ask a question. Is there still access to the proper forums of decades past (or at least since we moved from the older system around about Logos 3) It seems to be form over function. Much emphasis on community but I cannot see the community if all the posts are in one area. Thee used to be well established areas of expertise and sharing good practise. Is that still available anywhere?

My journey began with B****S*ft on PC DOS 5.25 floppies, with only KJV & NIV. That was all - on a 286 monochrome no mouse. I was so amazed one day I bowed my head to thank our Father for this tool. I heard of Logos 1.6, but when I called ("landline") they said Logos is at 2.0 beta on CD (anyone know the year?), would I be willing to try that? I had to buy external CD no machine came with that. It seemed that Logos was going to be more powerful, and "international" (earth languages) so I took the plunge off the high dive into the deep end. Logos continues the "deep dive"(into 12K+). Now at 77, coming up on my 54th REbirthday, I praise "The Most High El Shadai Elohim" (aka The Lord God Almighty) - the AlefTav - Who Was, Is, Is Coming. Two highlights for me are the reverse interlinears and FactBook, then and all the "original language" resources. Translations are like 2nd hand - I prefer to get it from "The Source's Mouth" - Hebrew and Greek (ok, maybe Aramaic, etc). The sign over Messiah's cross was in three languages, so it is very important to "triangulate" ("EngGreBrew").

Great question, @Martin Folley! There is a guide in the footer of the site, but generally users can (1) search for assistance using the magnifying glass or (2) create a new post in the community for help.

In answer to your drift, instead of clicking on folders, like we used to, one clicks on 'Filters' usually at the top of a post list. Then select one or more tags that people assigned. And then if you do that frequently, you can save your choices as a link in your browser.
But from a practical point of view, basically it's desktop, mobile, web app, and logos.com (and bugs). The other tags tend to be pretty sparse.

I like to use software that makes computer tasks more efficient.
But never went with Logos because of the cost. Recently discovered its new subscription model so now it's accessible to me. So I thought to give it a try because it would take a miracle to drag me away from Sword Searcher.
Well, here I am. 😀 It's even better than I first thought. Also it's one of the only subscription models that I don't consider a scam and one of the only deployments of AI that I'm ethically ok with. I've never imagined that I would ever be ok with either of those two things for any reason.
I'm sure that I'll be here bugging people with details about how the program works.

Thanks for sharing. I too have owned multiple Bible software packages and I miss very few things from the others now. Logos has come a long way!

I went from just paper and a to do list app, to a somewhat brief experience with Sword Searcher. You can't even get page numbers on that software (no criticism, cause that's just one dev and it's still very good). Going from that to Logos; this software is so good it breaks my mind. Halfway through the quick start videos and I had to go lay down for a while. It knocked me out. It was just one "are you kidding me" after another.
This is the pinnacle of computing. Every little aspect of it is well thought out, well designed and top notch. It's beyond helpful. Some of the other secular technologies might be "further along" but we don't need those anyway. It's varying degrees of shiny objects. Here today and gone tomorrow. Logos uses modern tech to help us do what is important.
Although the US dollar to Canadian currency conversion totally wrecks me. A two year Max sub is going to cost me $570. I wonder if I should buy it before my trial runs out. Trump was talking about 25% tariffs on Canada starting Feb. 1st. I wonder if that applies to digital goods too. ?

I'm a cross platform adopter — It all started 20 years ago with Parson's Quick Verse (Have all the 3.5" floppies then install CD's) which was bought out by Wordsearch - used for several years then was purchased by Logos — Been a loyal Logos user ever since — What a tool - after the new subscription upgrade still learning some of the new in's and out's of the ai stuff… Pastoring the a wonderful church in East Texas for the past 25 years.

Hello everyone!
It has been a while since I purchased Logos… I got it to supplement my seminary education… Unfortunately after 6 classes, I decided seminary was not going to be me. However, I have continued to study and research God’s message, and I find this app, a great place to do so…
I have not been in the community too much over time, until about 2 weeks ago or so… So I consider myself to be a newbie here…
