Logos Daily Deals
I've noticed more recently that the Logos Daily Deals have become more sporadic. It used to be at 1pm EST the new deal would drop - you could set your watch by it. There would be a new deal every single day, weekends, holidays, etc. I assume it must have been automatically set to post as it was at exactly 1pm, not 1:01 or 12:59 (ok a quick search in the last 30 days shows once at 1:01 and another time at 2:02, but all the others were 1:00).
But recently it seems sporadic. Sometimes there's a new one on the weekend, sometimes there's not. Sometimes a day gets skipped.
The last DD was 1/18/25 None for 1/19, 1/20, and so far none for today.
It just seems an odd schedule. Is it that they aren't doing them on the weekends? Well, no, because sometimes they have one on Saturday, but not Sunday. Sometimes they have one on Sunday. Was it because Monday was a holiday? Well, maybe, but they did DDs on both Christmas and Thanksgiving, which I think we'd consider to be more major holidays then the one yesterday.
Anyway, I say all that to say, perhaps we can get an official clarification on when there will be daily deals?
Even better… we all know how Logos absolutely LOVES sending out as many e-mails as possible each day. An e-mail with the daily deal in it would be one e-mail I'd love to get each day. It's like the highlight of my afternoon! :-)
For those unfamiliar with the Daily Deals, they offer a random book for 50% off the current price. The coupon code will be in the listing (it's the same for all of them). They seem to be listed only on their Facebook page and their Twitter - there will be no mention of it on their website (maybe there could be?).

First off, thanks for letting us know you care about Daily Deals and want to make sure they're not ended. To be super clear: Daily Deals are still happening!
Now to answer your question about why they were sporadic, that's on me. I run Daily Deals on socials. (Email is run by someone else, and I'm not sure of the story there. In fact, this thread is the first I learned that Daily Deals also go out over email because that's another team.)
I'm very sorry for the confusion I caused by missing some days posting Daily Deals on socials! The reason I missed was basic human error with a twist of taking care of a sick family through an awful flu season. This is not to excuse myself, but just to hopefully shed more light on and humanize the situation.
Moving forward, I have Daily Deals scheduled for 10am Pacific time each day on Facebook, X, and Threads, and I'll strive to get them out to you every day.

Is there a way to sign up to get these emails? I am pretty sure I have everything turned on for Logos emails, but I don't seem to ever get them.

They don't do a daily deal e-mail. I wish they would (and that there would be an option to only get that - I don't need nor want all the other e-mails). But I see I'm not the only one who'd appreciate one.

I don’t have a solution or even an official statement. I can say however that when there was a more timely announcement you often had just short of 48-hrs to make the purchase. There seemed to be some overlap. If you were on the fence you could add it to your purchase basket to be sure… the behavior seemed to be if it were in your basket you were solid. I can’t venture to say what is the new norm and what is official. One of the Facebook groups would post the DD as it was known but as you witness, it doesn’t seem to be known. I surely don’t want more marketing email.

They do send an email to let you know the DD is up and what it is.

Interesting. I don't recall ever getting a DD e-mail. I unsubscribed from all the e-mails, but resubscribed for a couple months in August because of all the changes, and unsubscribed again in November because I just got sick of so many e-mails (more than one a day sometimes!). But I don't recall seeing a DD e-mail. I wish there was an option to subscribe to that and only that.

Posting on Twitter or Facebook seems erratic now. But I do receive the email each day. You do have to specifically sign up for the daily deal email.

@DMM Go to logos.com → Click on your profile pic in the top right → Select "Email Lists" from the dropdown → Select "Daily Deals"

To get the daily deals email, you must make the selection from the Email Lists in your account.

Two weeks and my simple question still remains unanswered. It doesn't seem like it's that difficult of a question?

Last weekend, we had one Saturday the 25th, but not one Sunday. The week before we had one Saturday, but not one Sunday or Monday.
The week before we did not have one on either Saturday or Sunday (1/11, 1/12).
The week before we had one BOTH Saturday and Sunday (1/4, 1/5).
So again, I'd just simply like to ask, is there any rhyme or reason on what days we will or will not have the daily deals?
Could we please get an official answer? I just want to know when to expect them. I like them. I'd be happy if you had TWO daily deals each day, or even three or four :-) Twice in December I got a book from my wish list for half off. I did a little happy dance both times.
I tried signing up for the Daily Deal e-mails, but they usually come 3-4 hours AFTER the deal was already posted, and I've already seen it at that point, plus there was the whole thing about getting constant e-mails that my cart was calling me (I always have something in my cart), and that got very annoying very fast, and it seemed to be get all the e-mails or none, and I had to choose none for the sake of my sanity.

No. It's been almost three weeks. I gave up hope that anyone from Logos even reads these. Kind of disappointing. It's not like it's a hard question.
I've noticed a lot of other questions people have also go unanswered. I asked a simple question about if the specific college matters for the academic discount (I was introducing a friend to Logos who goes to a community college, and wanted to make sure he'd qualify before I told him about it)… still no official response from anyone with Logos. There's at least two different threads with people asking when we're going to get the 5% rewards coupons… crickets. It's not like any of those are hard questions. They are also questions that I'm sure that others have had.
I guess I'm learning that the forums are for the most part only for users to connect with other users. If you want an official answer to something, you need to just e-mail them - the chances of getting a response here seem to be very unlikely.

I will reach out to the team about daily deals and see if they can chime in here. I have not heard that the daily deals are done away with altogether.
The particular university does not matter for academic discount, no. Be sure to have your friend apply to the academic discount program!

The daily deal no longer seems to be posted consistently at the same time each day. Previously it was posted just after 10am (Bellingham time) each day. Some days it hasn't been posted on X at all. However, I have received the daily deal email each day without fail. That seems to be the way to go if you don't want to miss the daily deal.

Perhaps it might be better to consider having a Daily Deal page? I'm not sure how easy that would be to implement. Alternatively, if the deals are known in advance, you could even list what they are going to be for the whole week (rather than having to have someone manually change the page each day). :-)

Are there specific times that each day's DD is good for? So does the coupon code work at 10am PST on that day and good until 10am the next day?
