Dave, not all employees are intimately familiar with the versioning mechanisms used in the beta cycle. Even I had forgotten that we had switched from 4 Betas and 2 RCs to 3 and 3.
Often times when I want to mention that a fix is coming soon I'll intentionally avoid giving a specific beta number exactly so I won't get caught up in this kind of problem, but not everyone has as much experience in this area.
I think it's best to chalk this up to a miscommunication and trust the intended message ("beta 5" is equivalent to the fifth release in the beta cycle), unless you have some specific concern.

I picked it up on Beta 2 and have been enjoying the new Bible Smart Search and have used it several times.
Today, it said I had 3 uses as a preview. Once I used all three it told me I needed to subscribe. I hit the link and it said I was subscribed.
I am signed in and it shows that at the bottom left.
I restarted the program. No luck; it won't let me use Bible Smart Search anymore.
p.s. It updated to 40.0.345 today and that's when it started happening.

This seems a little early after Beta 3. What is the reason?
