Looks like the licenses did get added this morning. There could be a delay in the timing of getting added to reaching the software but things should be in order. Can you try again on your end with a brand new panel? @Aaron Hamilton
@Matt Mattox (Faithlife) Update Now still will not work for me at all…. This is multiple versions both unsubscribed and subscribed…
I have manually installed the updates and for V39 did a complete uninstall and fresh install - yet Update Now returns the No Updates message…
I have tried both Update Channel to Stable and Update Channel to Default - same error.
Restart the laptop, reopen Logos - same no update message…
I also tried holding CTRL while opening to log in to a blank layout - no updates available…

@Frank Sauer Can you upload your log files as those will be helpful as there should be a line in the log file for checking for updates.
I also have seen no issue at all with Resources updates/downloads - they occur without issue.
Program Updates are the issue - the thing that I noticed in the logs was it appears to be a zero time used in checking for updates
Logos 10 - OpenSuse Tumbleweed, Windows 11, Android 16 & Android 14
Please please please let us choose between double spaced and single spaced in sermon editor when using "one verse per slide." "Fully formatted" and "block paragraph" has single spacing but "one verse is double." It just doesn't make sense and it makes the amount of page turning while preaching double.
@Frank Sauer — I noticed you're using Windows 8 compatibility mode. Have we asked you to apply that setting? If not, I'd suggest disabling it — otherwise I think it's likely that Logos will think your OS doesn't meet the requirements for the update and won't offer it to you.
Nice catch @Mark Barnes (Logos) - I have no idea why that would have been active…. The only time I ever tested varying Compatibility Modes was with Linux install testing…
Is that something that could 'sync'? As I know that after clean installing the last release that I did not touch compatibility.
But, that was indeed the issue…. I didn't catch that, as I would have not been looking for it on my Windows install - if it were still Linux - definitely…

AFAIK, compatibility mode settings are stored in the registry and not synced between devices. I'm glad the problem's sorted now, though.
@NichtnurBibelleser
There is a very quick overview here but I guess you are looking for more than that
Apologies for the formatting - I don't understand why that has happened
Our February blog detailing the most important improvements was just published and is now reflected in the original post.
We haven't added the ability to preview the Textual History section from within the app, but I will show it off in my webinar on Thursday. If you register, you can attend live or be emailed a link to the recording after the event. There's also a little bit of information in this thread.
Be aware of Logos Upgrade
I have never been this upset before over anything, but on February 24, 2025. I updated my Logos 10 software version to 40.0.351, (see image below), and on February 25 I notice the copy location feature (attached image), was totally remove from the copy option. I contacted Logos and was told that this feature is permanently removed from my / your logos software version that was purchased, (Bronze Edition in my case) with thousand of dollars $$$$ adding books to my library. In fact as seen below I have 2335 resources in my library. I was told this feature is NOW ONLY AVAILABLE TO SUBSCRIPTION MEMBERS.
My personal option, this is WRONG!!! I truly hope logos do the right thing and restore this feature to individual who purchased the software so that less technical individual like myself that doesn't know any other way to implement this SIMPLE feature would still appreciate the software. I am not shy to event post my email owing to the cost to put in this program.
I have also advocate to hundreds of persons over the last several to invest in this program and I am feeling guilty that many will experience issue for something that I cannot help them with.

@NichtnurBibelleser It's a valid question so thanks for asking. It's a resource type and apology for not finding any in German but here are a few examples I can share. I found it easier by filtering by the type in my Library which then gave me the results I needed. I double checked in German UI and all was working as expected there too.
You might of missed this post regarding the Logos4 links to ref.ly links which can be found here. @The Truth of The Bible
If you select that copy location option in your screenshot it should create a ref.ly URL which has a lot of pros to using compared to the decremented route of Logos4 links. Details in that post linked above.
The good news, your existing Logos4 links should operate as normal.
Hopefully that clears some things up, apology if I missed the mark on your ask here.
Also, regarding this comment. You own all the resources you purchased so your investment is safe. More details here.
> Logos has gone subscription base. Be very afraid to spend thousands of dollars like I did or even hundreds.
Hi Matt
Thanks for your response. It may appear that I am a proficient / power of Logos… I not.
I like to have a hugh library, it makes it easier to find and copy the information I want for my studies. This is my first time here. The information you provide me while thankful I have no clue to what alll that referes to or how to accomplished that task. Would you be so kind to provide a text link that I could follow.
Thank you.
Am I understanding the end goal of wanting to provide a location to the resource you are in for your studies that takes you to the exact location?
If so, from your resource select the 3 vertical dots in the top right corner and choose Copy Location
. (see image below)
You'll then have a ref.ly URL saved to your clipboard. (essentially a URL like this https://ref.ly/Jn3.16;csb
saved and next time you choose paste, it'll paste that URL.
NOTE: Yours will look different as mine shows John 3:16 with my CSB selected. The point is that it'll look like ref.ly/{YOUR_SCRIPTURE_REFERENCE;YOUR_BIBLE}
From there you can paste anywhere you like. Notes tool, command box, etc.
Hope this helps!
Matt,
How will that link works? Will it gives me access to Logo from a word document on my Mac? If I reviewing from an on-line document on an iOS with no internet would it work?
This is the reason for my question. Last week, Feb., I contacted Logos for issues I experienced with these features. see image below. In a subsequent email I was told to try HTML which did worked and now there is no choice.
Thank you again for responding.
EDIT/UPDATE: @Matt Mattox (Faithlife) I don't think Insights has been added to Bible Studies, I thikn it's been added to Study Bibles?!
Detailed release notes don't mention Bible Studies:
Study Bibles work:
@Matt Mattox (Faithlife) I'm also not seeing the Insights option in the Bible studies I tried:
I restarted Logos and nothing changed.
(It's working in commentaries.)
@NichtnurBibelleser Thanks for your quick response. However, when I filter for the type (in the English UI), at least with the volumes I have here, I don't see "Insights" in neither of them.
Insights works with Bibles, Commentaries, Study Bibles, and some other types, which have bible datatype milestones. I'm not sure about Bible Studies (type:bible-study) as they don't generally have bible milestones.

@NetworkGeek Thank you for pointing out the issue with Bible Studies. You are correct, we have not shipped support for this resource type, I am working with the team to make sure the What's New post is updated to be accurate. I apologize with for the confusion here.
I really appreciate Logos making the software better and the improvements being made. I want to make sure that is clear before I make a negative comment. This new Textual History Insight feature being locked into Max doesn't sit well with me. It seems like it was put there just to show the Max crowd they get stuff to. Back in the full ownership days, we would get a textual variant section in our Exegetical Guide. I haven't had time to check but I should still have that option as I own the L10 FFS. I feel like this tool should also be unlocked for people who have the FFS. It doesn't seem like it being added to the insights is all that much different from me going to my exegetical guide. Does it do more than the exegetical guide feature?

L10 FFS and Pro (not Max) Subscription here. Just checked the Exegetical Guide. Seems I didn't use it for quite a time, because I am really struck with all the details and options here. With some Library I have got the Codex Sinaiticus (and more) with live links to the manuscripts - something I wasn't aware of I have.
That said, I really support @Mattillos request for having Textual History Insight feature beyond the Max subscription.
Well, we already have 'evidence' that the Max people need to have 'something' for their extra contribution (ie those cheap Pro people DON'T). But more seriously, I wonder (don't know) if the 'Max' people are more likely have the textual history resources to fill the space? Of course, I'm an unSubscriber, so I just eat popcorn.

Does it do more than the exegetical guide feature?
No, everything in Insights is intended as a quick look not serious research. Insights is especially for newbies to Logos although they have built it to have some usefulness to others.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
@Josh Bernard It might be more helpful if you created a new post that way we can track it more easily and keep the post specific to questions/comments related to your issue.
Is this happening on v39 or just with v40, etc. Lot of questions come up including what Dave said.
If you can, feel free to create a new post and send the link here and we'll open a ticket to investigate.
The purpose of Insights is not to replace the Exegetical Guide but to give people quick access to some of the most useful books and datasets right in their Bible. If you have access to the Textual Variants section in the Exegetical Guide, you can continue to enjoy that. Max subscribers can also access a Textual Commentary, Textual Apparatus, an Original Language, and an Ancient Version of the Bible from the Insights sidebar. As MJ says, Insights has less power than the Exegetical Guide, but more convenience.
I can access neither Smart Bible search nor Textual History in the Insights panel after updating to v40.0.
