Use of Hyperlinks within Notes

Currently, the function is there to insert hyperlinks to verses within Logos and webpages. What is not available is the ability to insert hyperlinks to other files on the user's hard drive. Without this, the user cannot link to other documents, saved html files, videos, or graphics. This is a simple function available within e-Sword, but not within Logos.

If you save the file on Onedrive, etc - can you hyperlink to it? Hyperlinking ot a file on your hard drive may be problematic (and/or a bad practice) as it won’t work if accessing from another device

Can you give an example - I can link to any valid URL accessible to my application.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Thanks for the question. I can also link to any valid URL on the web, what am I wishing to link to is a file on my hard drive, e.g.,

    "C:\Bible Stuff\Charts\KINGDOM_OF_GOD_HEAVEN_CHURCH.png"

    "C:\Bible Stuff\Maps\AssyrianSupremacyInTheSeventhCentury.jpg"

The same would be true for any html or pdf document on my hard drive.

I have tried to link through One Drive, but as path, it is not accepted by Logos within a link. If I'm missing something I'd sure like to know what it is. It sure seems like a pretty basic feature.

doesn't the windows file browser provide the URL under copy path?

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

No, it does not. It converts is as follows…

    "C:\Bible Stuff\Social Issues\holywomen-english.pdf"

    Becomes:

https://holywomen-english.pdf/, which gets me 'Hmmm…can't reach this page. Check if there's a typo.'

Without the quotation marks, it ignores that I've even input anything.
