How can I save passages from the Concordance tool

Hi everyone,

I'd like to save certain passages from the concordance tool to a passage list but I've found no way to really do this. The export to excel function does not work, it just brings up a blank excel page.

So for instance, searching the concordance by Sense for Repentance, I would then just want to save those passages in a passage list.

Anyone done this before?

UPDATE:

So I think I found two ways of doing this.

Use the Snipping Tool on Windows

For Windows users, there is the snipping tool which allows you to take a screenshot and then copy the text contained in the screenshot and then adding that to a passage list. Logos is clever enough to copy each verse and save it in the passage list. Here is a video of the process I followed → Copy Using Snipping Tool - Proton Drive Link

2. Use the Bible Sense Lexicon Tool to search for the sense and then export as passage list.

This is probably the step I should have taken since I was searching for the sense in the concordance tool. When you initiate a search of the Bible through the Bible Sense Lexicon then clicking on the three vertical dots allows you to easily save that as a passage list:

I can save them individually by opening my Passage List, then right clicking on each verse, on the first one you may have to make sure Bible reference is selected, and send to Passage List. But i'm sure you are not looking to do all 90 individually.

On another note, when you are in concordance, how do you get to "to repent"? Did you have to scroll down until you found it? Because I see no way to search for a particular word and it's not in alphabetical order either.

Maybe I misunderstood your question @SavedbyGrace but export to Excel works fine for me - I went to repent (and yes @Joey Midgett as far as I can see you just scroll down until you find Repent) and then exported to Excel/new spreadsheet (see below). I am on Mac/Verbum, with Excel/Mac 365. I don't see a way to get a Passage list though.

I filtered the concordance at the top to show me the senses and then I press control + F (command + F on MAC) when in the concordance tool to search for a particular word, much faster than scrolling down 😅

When I try to export to Excel then it just opens up a blank document, see picture below:

Saving it as an excel file, works but it just saves the headings, not the actual verses contained under the headings, which is what I am after.

I just thought there might be a way to quickly save verses under headings as a passage list but it looks like this will have to be a manual process for now. 😅

Good work @SavedbyGrace ! Building on what you did, I just opened a precise search and typed Sense:"Repent, and the dropdown showed the same search - very fast and then easy to get the passage list!

BTW, in the first screen when I click on the "Search for" link, nothing happens. I'll post that as a bug, I am on Mac maybe that matters.

You have the option of sorting by heading (alphabetical) or count on the upper right.
