What's the difference between these two?

The first entry in this picture was released 2020, the other one in 2010. The newer version is missing one of the authors. Doug, the text writer, but still has Sergio, the illustrator, and the same publisher.

I have the hard copy older version (2010).

The Logos shop preview won't show me anything because each page is basically all pictures. So what is the difference between these two versions? Are they the same? Does the newer one have better pictures or something?

Someone noted in the reviews that there isn't any Logos integration; it's basically just a facsimile.
So because it's a comic book style, is this treated as a media format or how does this work? Are the pictures displayed in the regular reading version?

I have both editions in physical form so I can't comment on the Logos aspect, just the differences. For the most part they're the same, but for some parts like Noah, the art has been redone. There are also some layout changes and a few section title changes, and some improvements to how some of the narratives flow. They were able to add a few more stories, even though the book looks the same size and nothing feels like it's missing or diminished to make room.

It's not drastic enough people with a first edition would need to buy it again (though you can find the book super cheap at Amazon or Hobby Lobby), but a well-executed revision of a book that was already setting the bar high to begin with.

Since Logos loads an entire book into one scrollbar I wonder if it would try to load up thousands of pictures at the same time. I wonder how the colours would look too.

I'm presently reading The Action Bible: Easter Story (not the full Action Bible) and it looks like this:

Logos Desktop 👇🏽 (I don't like it because I don't get to see the full panel (due to my monitor's size). I can decrease the zoom but the text will become smaller, which is not ideal. And sitting in front my laptop and scrolling with a mouse to read a graphic novel? It just feels wrong.)

Logos iPad app 👇🏽(My iPad is oriented to portrait mode here, and I have to scroll to get to the next panel, which I don't like. Maybe I can change to paged mode but I don't want to mess with my settings and have to remember to change it back every time. And I don't like that you start to see part of the next panel peeking at the bottom, it's distracting.)

Kindle iOS app 👇🏽(This is best for me, one panel per page. And no scrolling (!), just tap on the right edge for a new panel.)

My eyes aren't the best but I think the colors are consistent between the Logos and Kindle versions.

I have no idea how it works in Logos. If it is interesting to you, you can always buy it and return it within 30 days if you don't like it.

Oh ya. Guess I could have Googled it.
I just checked the pages and the old version hard cover has 752 pages, this new one says 800 pages.
How do they sell it for $33? You would think it costs at least that much to print it. ¯\(°_o)/¯

I just crunched the numbers. The aspect ratio on the hardcover is about 670x1000. Almost as wide as it is tall.
So when it's open, looking at both pages, would double the width to 1,340. That's somewhat close to a 16:9, full screen 1920x1080. I wonder if Logos has a full screen mode showing both sides of an open book. For this particular book it would almost be necessary. The pages kind of blend together. A social media type of single window downwards scroll system would kind of ruin it. Guess I would have to try it out to see.

I also wonder what the law is with verbally reading books for a YouTube channel. I've had plans to maybe read this one using a top down camera, for a kids channel. I just realized I don't know if that's legal.

Unfortunately, reading a book on YouTube is an unauthorized derivative work and will probably get you a copyright strike. There are fair use exceptions in the US and less generous equivalents elsewhere but they would not cover what you're talking about.

I've never bought a book in Logos that was like this one, since I wouldn't see what value it would add over other, cheaper places. But your mileage may vary, and Logos does have much more generous export options than other ebook providers.

I own both Logos editions.

Left: 1st edition. Right: 2nd edition.

Clearer images and fonts in the new version; better contrast. Some stories got a new images, but the text remains the same. The new version ToC is broken.
