Glitch in Verse Range Reference window

Hi Logos peeps,
Jack Hughes here, long time Logos user, trainer, and Logos affiliate. There is one thing in the subscription model that has bothered me to no end. On earlier versions of Logos, when you were in a particular Bible version, and selected “tab” it would highlight the verse reference in the verse reference box and you could type in a new verse reference, select enter, and go to the new verse. I have done this a million times and it is quick and efficient.
Now, however, in the new subscription model, when I have a Bible version open and I select tab, it highlights the current verse range, but produces a pull down that tells me I am in the active window (see picture below). I know I am in the active window. I don’t need told that. Granted, hitting tab does highlight the current verse range in the verse range window. But you can’t type in a new verse reference, hit enter, and go to the next text. As it is now, you have to manually use your mouse or trackpad to click two or more times to be able to get the verse range to accept your new reference. It is a bit maddening. I was hoping someone else was going to tell you, but it hasn’t changed and so I am being the squeaky wheel. 🥺
See the screenshot below of what I am talking about. If you want me to make a video and send that, I can do that also. Here are the steps to produce the problem:
Let’s say you are searching around in the NASB 95 Bible.
The NASB 95 is the active window.
You select tab, which for many years, as long as I can remember, has highlighted the verse range box. And that is what happens, but you can’t enter in a new verse range! Instead it lets you know that your current active window/verse range is active (see picture below).
You hit tab again, and the lower reference in the pull down, below the word “Active,” which is greyed, is deselected so it isn’t greyed any more. You still can’t enter a new verse range. Doesn’t matter how many times you select “tab” you can’t enter a new verse reference. The verse range “John 3:18” remains highlighted in the verse range window through all of this, but you can’t type in a new verse range.
You must manually put your pointer on the verse reference box. This turns off the highlighting of the current verse range in the verse reference box. Now you can manually delete the current verse range (multiple deletes) or double click on the current verse range to highlight it again, then you can enter the new verse reference, select enter, and go to your new text. This is very cumbersome.
If you are in an active window Bible and you hit tab, and it tells you you are in the active window/range (see picture below) and you manually put your pointer in the verse range box, it will deselect the current verse range. If you hit tab to highlight the verse range so you can enter a new verse reference (instead of hitting delete multiple times or double clicking), the arrow to the left of the verse range is highlighted. If you hit tab again, the resource icon to the left of the verse range is highlighted. If you hit tab again, it skips the verse range box and highlights “home” to the right of the verse range. Lol! Ahhhh! It is like Logos is fighting against you trying to put in a new verse range in the verse range reverence box. Is this AI rebelling against the user, or a demon? Lol! I don’t know, but it needs exorcised.
Please make it like it has always been, so that when a Bible version is in the active window, you can hit tab, so that it highlights the current verse reference in the verse reference window, and so you can type in a new verse range, select enter, and go to the new location. I and I am sure so many others would be very blessed.

You might find the discussion here interesting.
It seems like the tab functionality was never officially supported but does currently work on Windows but not on Mac.
Are you seeing the behaviour you are describing on Mac?

Yes, the behavior is on a Mac. I used Logos on PC from beta version in the early 90's to 2012 and tab worked to change verse reference. And I switched to Mac in 2012 and tab has worked the same until the recent subscription update.
