I came to Logos from Wordsearch and have never been able to use it effectively. I have books prioritized on the list on the right side of the page but when I try to open them, nothing happens.
Watch this:
@Ken Gibson
Are you trying to click on the titles of the books in the priorization panel? If so, that's not how you open them. The panel only serves to manage which books are referenced above others in Logos. You can place and order books in the list to reflect your preferences but that's it. To open them, search for them in the library search field and open any title by clicking on it in the list that is thus produced.
Thanks. I would really like to use LOGOS, and I've had it for several years, but I'm a little older and have a really hard time finding any "hold in my hand" (printed) instructions. All I can do now is open the library, as you suggested, then open which books I choose. I still use Wordsearch and find it much easier to navigate. I'll probably continue to use it until I can't anymore, then I'll be too old to use anything!
Appreciate your help. Ken
@Ken Gibson I understand it can be difficult to adapt to Logos. Have you gone through the videos of orientation for people new to Logos? They are here.
Logos is not the most intuitive Bible software although the company is working on improving this. A bit of perseverance is rewarding though as you will be able to really dig deep into the Word.
A recommended path to gaining understanding of prioritization can be found as follows: from the Forums banner above, select Training > Logos User Wiki > scroll to Prioritizing > A Sample Prioritize List > select from banner: How to Prioritize resources > Read the page Prioritizing by Dave Hooton Last Updated Oct 4, 2024. I know it was a grueling walk to this information, but I promise you it's worth it!

Hi, I've created a notebook for new words I'm learning and their definitions. Is it possible I could put a word in the file that I learned in one book, and when reading another book come across that same word have access to the definition someway? A. Cotton
I've been using this resource for years. Somehow the sequence of Readings changed: it's supposed to start from the First Reading, not Psalm. I've tried to solve it but can't get any progress. Can someone help me? Thanks! Support info follows: bcplect LLS:BCPLECT 2020-10-09T16:10:22Z
You list two different copies of WBC 2 Corinthians here: https://www.logos.com/search?query=2%20Corinthians%20Word%20Biblical%20Commentary&sortBy=Relevance&limit=60&page=1&ownership=all&geographicAvailability=availableToMe&viewMode=list It shows I own the second edition but not the other one. When I click on the one that…
When Logos acquired Wordsearch more than five years ago, those with Wordsearch resources were given Logos versions of those resources. Those who were not Wordsearch users could preorder the Wordsearch resources that would soon become available in Logos. From what I understand, those with Wordsearch resources had Logos…
I just received the new resource "Matthew: The Christian Standard Commentary" by Holman. But compared to the rest of the series (10 of them so far): this book has series "The Christian Standard Commentary", the other 10 are all "Christian Standard Commentary"; this book is type Commentary, the other 10 are type Bible…
