Sermon Builder - removing spaces between verses

Since the last update citing verses in the sermon builder while having "one verse per slide" selected now creates a space between the verses. Can this be changed back to the old way or can the old way be selected as an option? This is not a better feature things just take up even more space.

Thanks

I quite like the additional clarity regarding where each slide begins and ends.

no reason why we can't have a both option. I'd venture to say it's good for those using Proclaim, but the reality is most people aren't using Proclaim and aren't using Logos to make their slides.

Happy for the discussion @Josh Bernard. So, what I'm enjoying is how consistent the options are. For example, if I Insert John 1:1-10 as a block reference I can then choose between three different formats: Block paragraphs, One verse per slide, or Fully formatted. The option Block paragraphs produces 1 paragraph with 1 slide. The option One verse per slide produces 10 paragraphs with 10 slides, and the option Fully formatted produces 3 paragraphs with 3 slides.

If you would prefer to have fewer paragraphs, why not select the Block paragraphs or Fully formatted options?

Because that's simple just not what I want. I want single verses with no space. Just like it has been for years. And just like the physical Bibles you can buy.

As I'm reading I'll read a verse and stop and make a point about a Hebrew or Greek word or something and then come back to my notes. If it isn't one line per slide it makes it difficult to pick up where I was.

The problem with the double spacing is 1 passage can take 3 pages to get through on the tablet instead of the single page it was before.

Having another option that says "single spaced" isn't going to mess everything up. It just provides more options because you and I do it different. Neither of us are wrong. Just different.

The thing I really dislike it it's been the way I need it for years and years. Then they suddenly changed it without being able to keep it the way it's been.

I agree 100% and hope my attempt to understand your use case didn't cause you to feel that I think otherwise.

If I'm understanding you correctly, you would like a One verse per line option in addition to the One verse per slide option. Correct?

No, I want the "one verse per line" to be single spaced in stead of double spaced on the screen and in the "preach" section. When you enter a text into Logos now it looks like this

It takes up twice the amount of space than it needs to for me and others I know. All I want is an option that says "single space" and "double space"

I do understand what you're saying. I was suggesting that One verse per line be added as a possible option in addition to the One verse per slide option that currently exists. The idea here would be that One verse per line would not be double-spaced.

I don't think it's as simple as asking for an option for One verse per slide to be single-spaced vs double-spaced, because the formatting of the reference also affects the slides that are created. I am proposing that One verse per slide would list every verse as its own paragraph with each verse being represented by its own slide.

Meanwhile, One verse per line would format the text with each verse starting on a new line without spaces in between. Also, the slides would simply try to fit as many verses onto each slide as possible. Described in this way, is it what you're looking for?
