Is it possible in Proclaim to record the sermon to an external drive/usb/cloud?

I'd like to record to an external device so that we can do any editting at home/church office rather than having to be on the PC that we use for the service. Ideally if we could record to a cloud location so that it can be retrieved by a user on any PC that has Procliam would be ideal.

I'd appreciate any details on how to set the record location.

If you publish it, it will be saved to the cloud and will be accessible anywhere.

Thank you for the reply but, unless I misunderstand, once it is published it is available for all to listen to. I want to edit it before I publish it.

That's a good point - I was imagining a recording that was okay and could be up for a few hours but that you wanted to make some minor adjustments to.
I don't think there is a way to do what you wish to within Proclaim. But you can click "Download raw audio" instead of "Publish" and save it to Dropbox, email it to yourself, etc. Then you could save the edited file to the right directory for Proclaim to find it (there are directions here) and you could publish it from the editing computer.

It seems saving the only the audio would eliminate all slides.

Installing Proclaim at home would allow you to trim audio portions while keeping the slides.

    Hi Bruce,

Thank you for the comment. I do have Proclaim at home but the sermon recording is stored locally on the host PC at the church building. As far as I can see it is not possible to access the original recording with slides from any PC other than the one that was used to record it. If we could store the recording to a cloud location we could access it from any PC with Proclaim which is what Im trying to achieve.

    Regards,

    Walter

    Walter,

Proclaim does store the recording to the cloud, so to speak. Configuring your "home" pc using the same church presentation settings - that is the same "presentation team" by logging into your faithlife/proclaim account. Open the presentation and under the "recordings" menu the presentation audio/slides will download to allow editing.

Proclaim does not save the audio to the cloud until you publish, but if you download the audio and then open it again through Proclaim on a different machine, it should open the slides.

Sorry, but simply closing the dialog without publishing it does save to the cloud. Wait until proclaim finishes syncing to finish uploading - not long, depending on your Internet speed. Then on another PC with proclaim open the same presentation then select the "recordings" menu. The recording will download to that PC when the recording is selected. Now your ready to edit.
