I see only minor differences from B2, and its looking a bit sparse... please can we have more control so we can mark up similar to how we used to in v3
I would love to use more color boxes , but only have one color 
EG: Instead of green wavy line, and orange wavy line, can we select type ie wavy line/colorbox/etc, and then choose the color from the picker like we can in the notes
This would make markup usable for me, its one of the few remaining issues I have with v4, I am using v4 in day to day use

DOH, sorry, just impatient now to make the switch from v3 to v4 as soon as possible, and this would REALLY help

I'd also like a wider range of styles (and I did see the note!) ... including changing txt colour, background highlighting (with user-configurable colour for our own markup schemes)
In the meantime, one way to get coloured background highlighting is to select the text you want to mark up, add a note of the desired colour, and hey presto. Don't add a note to the verse, it has to be to the selection. The note will still bear the reference in question.

That was another of those "Coffee went out my nose" (CWOMN) comments that I keep seeing on the boards here.
Funny thing is, that I generally do read the owners manual, much to the frustration of my wife who would prefer that I just wing it! What a strange world I live in.
So to make my post on target I'm proposing a new form of markup. Call it "Coffee Splash" and it will sporadically drop nostril shaped coffee stains onto the pages. What do you think?

After a week filled simply with installations and reindexings, I've only now gotten to play with visual markup.

does Logos want to hear from its customers what types of markups we would like....?
I thought DominicM's response to the Visual Markup feature was an appropriate one even considering what the release notes say.
I, personally, would like something that looks like a highlighter - a fluorescent colour without a box around it.

Ditto, The L3 markups came with a nice set of just plain highlighters in a veritable rainbow of colors. I only ever used Yellow myself normally but a few times I did use the red which looked a horrid sub-pink on my screen.

I am really grateful that they rushed visual markups out the door.
But, I went over every item in the list about four times thinking that I must have missed the highlighter.
I mean, really, when we talk of marking up books we generally think of highlighters before we think of orange wavy lines.

I LIKE the highlighter!
If that's all we had in "a rainbow of colors and styles" then I'd be set...
When I read in V3...I color the same elements the same color; names, places, etc...and it just helps me follow long narratives.
I usually discard them when I'm done but doing this helps me focus and keep my train of thought.
ALSO; if you send a screen shot to someone...they can follow your train of thought more easily if the text is highlighted in this way also.
