Wondering whether I will renew

I subscribed to Logos and have enjoyed some of its improvements, especially smart search. Unfortunately, as soon as I enthousiastically started to use it regularly, I saw my AI usage statistics jump very quickly. One month, it got so close to the limit that I had to hit the brakes. Since then, I find myself more reluctant to use smart search. I use chatgpt most of the time for questions that do not require reliable expertise and use smart search in Logos way less. Sad to have to go out of Logos when I own it and subscribe to it.
I do not want to have to ration myself when I want to use a feature, but rather use it at my leisure. I know that the official answer is that they give plenty, but perhaps that works for people who spend less time in Logos than I do. Last month, I only used about a quarter of the monthly limit because I hardly used smart search. It's telling that it got to a quarter of the allowance with so little use. That's a poor situation. This in turn makes me wonder whether I'd want to renew my subscription if what makes it worth it comes with such constraint.

Well, you can't go back … to the old tools menu.

It's interesting that you are using up your AI credits so quickly by doing Smart Search alone. (Of course you may be doing a lot more searches than I am.)
Just curious, are you using any other AI features?

It was obvious back when they were setting up the new system that there would be a problem when people hit the limit. I thought there should be a way to reload your tokens, or more tokens on a higher plan.
The response to all the concerns was something like “we are being so generous with the limit that nobody will ever have a problem” ….
Interesting that this is the first post like this one that I have noticed …
Why did they resist the idea of “ please insert another $5 for additional tokens”?

I suspect that the cost of managing a program of purchasing additional tokens exceeded the anticipated revenue from those additional token purchases. But I must admit that I do not see Logos' future as built around AI features. I see Logos' future as building data to be consumed by the AI giants.
