I experience freezing of the text on my older iPad (Air 2) and it halts a few seconds before I can continue to scroll. No problems on my iphones. It happens on the iPad app.
I don't think I use a beta version. A bit hard to follow all instructions for posting correctly in the forums. I apologize.

It would also help to have a detailed description of what you were doing at the time — which book(s) you had open, if you have lots of notes and highlights, etc. Thanks!

Yes, I’ve managed to report The Holman Bible Atlas and The Contemporary Torah: A Gender-Sensitive Adaption of the JPS Translation. The latter missing the Title Page and the entire Preface. Thanks for reaching out.
The Contemporary Torah has the preface and other introductory material. You probably have the Bible text only filter on - a very common mistake Resource dynamic toolbar > Formatting > Reformat > Bible text
