In TWOT, I found this paragraph…
I was irritated, because I have AB, but the page link isn't active. I checked my library to make sure I have this volume, and found this oddity:
The 1 Chron. volume is NOT written by Myers; it is written by Knoppers…I confirmed this on the product page. Myers is the author of the 2 Chron. volume.
So, of FIRST IMPORTANCE, I want ALL of my links in TWOT to be made active for resources I own.
Second, I actually bit the bullet and bought a hard copy of TWOT just so I could identify when errors in TWOT are "hard-coded" in the text, and in this case it seems the sloppy and careless editors allowed the wrong author's name to be included here. The context of the paragraph, including confirming textual links to 1 Chr. prove that Knoppers' 1 Chr. and not Myers' 2 Chr. is the correct intended resource. I brought up a similar issue to this a few years back—when a resource has a hard-coded error in the physical text related to a reference to another cited source, I believe that Logos should DIRECT A LINK TO THE CORRECT USEFUL RESOURCE as opposed to mindlessly directing to the erroneously mistyped or otherwise mistaken location.
For 15 YEARS, I have been requesting, pleading, and demanding that FL do the right thing and fix dead links that have existed in some of the earliest and most used resources in the Logos stable. I hope that it will be done before Yeishuua` returns…it IS what I and so many other paid for, and what the front page selling point of the software touts—links to your PURCHASED resources.
