Resizing issue on Biblical Event Navigator

This is not a beta issue but is reported here because I am running the beta version.

  1. Open Verbum in a small window intended to show only the Biblical Event Navigator
  2. Open the Biblical Event Navigator and expand to fill the entire window. Notice the relative size of the facet and data panels.
  3. Decide you also need to see a third column - Factbook. Expand the window by grab and drag - the BEN still filling the entire window
  4. Drag the Factbook icon to the right half of the window.
  5. NOTE BUG: the BEN takes all the space from the data panel leaving a far too wide facet panel that I can't seem to grab and drag to a more appropriate width … in short the layout is useless.
  6. I get the same result if I load Factbook to the right half, then load BEN.

I take the request here to be, "Make the Biblical Event Navigator table of contents sidebar resizable, and/or collapsible." Is that right?

I'd call it more a bug report that when automatically redrawing the panel triggered by a layout change, the panel fails to recalculate the appropriate proportions of the two sub-panels. Being able to resize would be a nice feature, but it shouldn't be necessary on a system generated redraw.

As far as I can tell, BEN's "table of contents" sidebar is always a fixed width (about 370 pixels, depending on scaling). The content pane resizes to the remaining panel width, and the text content itself reflows inside the pane. Are you seeing something different?
