Proclaim 4.11 is now available!

Hello Proclaim community! 👋🏻
Today we shipped a new Proclaim 4.11 update that includes a couple of great new features, several under-the-hood improvements, and a bunch of bug fixes that should help make your services run a little smoother — whether you’re leading worship, running slides, or prepping media during the week.
Here’s what’s new and improved:
4K Canvas + Media Upload Support
You can now upload 4K media and set your Virtual Screen to a 4K aspect ratio in Settings > Display
New Optional Media Player (Windows only)
If you’ve had issues with Windows Media Player, you now have a new alternative player available. You can enable this in Settings > General

Smarter Click Behavior in Timeline & Grid Preview
Clicking a service item now scrolls it into view without jumping slides. Double-click to go straight to it. This should reduce accidental transitions, especially when your volunteers are On Air and just want to preview what's coming up next.
Sync Icon Now Shows More Detail
If something’s not syncing, you’ll now get a breakdown of what’s going wrong—making it easier to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.
HEIC/HEIF Image Support (Mac)
If you're using Proclaim on Mac, you can now import photos taken on an iPhone into Proclaim without needing to convert formats first. The file will convert and sync over to Windows so you can then use it across platforms.
New Web-Based Authorization
We’ve updated the Proclaim login experience to use our Logos auth portal. When signing in, you will first be prompted to enter the same username and password you already use in a web browser first, then you will return to Proclaim. This will feel similar to other modern apps you might be using that also offer a desktop client.
Here are the bugs we’ve squashed in this release:
- Fixed: Free trial accounts incorrectly showing locked features
- Fixed: Videos with custom start times now display the right first frame
- Fixed: Grid preview no longer jumps to the top when syncing
- Fixed: “Rename” in Order of Service now updates the correct item
- Fixed: Countdown shapes stay locked to text as expected
- Fixed: Long foreground names now truncate nicely in Smart Media Creator
- Fixed: Crash when compressing files (Mac), and rare load-time crash (Windows)
- Fixed: Improvements in the Song Library:
- “Switch songs” button is now always visible
- Notes field behaves more predictably
- Windows: You can now close the window with a single click
- Fixed: Image orientation and stretching issues when importing
- Fixed: PayPal cancel button now returns you to checkout properly
As always, we value your feedback! Let us know what you think of the new release or anything else that's on your mind.

Hi David, thanks for the continual updates.
One thing I'd like to bring attention to to is that every time I create a new bible slide there is a carriage return at the end, creating an additional line that can affect the size of the the text and it's alignment. Could this be eliminated so I'm not going through every bible slide taking out the one extra line?

Hey @Morgan, can you share which Bible version you're using when this happens?

@David Cosand (Logos) My default is the ESV but I'm seeing it with all bibles. Even when I delete the carriage return and switch to another version (CSB, NLT, NET 2) it adds the extra line back .

The new service item clicking behavior is greatly appreciated!
Out of curiosity, is there any more detailed info on what the "new media player" is under the hood other than it's a new media player?

Appreciate 4K output! I can confirm it works over NDI output as well.
However, the Clock and Timer on my Confidence screens are now super huge, and I can't change their font size on the Confidence screens.

I was able to edit the Confidence Template to make the Current Slide Content text larger, but I am unable to edit the size of the Clock/Timer.

It is essentially using the latest API from Microsoft for playing back videos as opposed to the old API Microsoft has provided for a while and kinda abandoned. (Which relied on Windows Media Player to be installed which on latest Win 11 builds it is not and instead has to be added as an optional feature called "Windows Media Player Legacy ")
The plan is for any folks who are having video issues on Windows, to try out the new player and give us feedback. Then soon, we will make it automatically fallback to the new player if it can't play a video. And finally, we will eventually swap over to use the new player by default.

Thanks for the update. Uploading video is strange now... The videos are super-huge and slender. This makes it really difficult to see the entire video to know where you want to drag the slider to see a particular part of the video to better understand what the video is. And, it also makes adding metatags difficult since you cannot see the entire screenshot of the video all at once to see what the video is. My Video is 1080p in size. See attached screenshot.

Since this update I have been unable to get 'Send to Proclaim' to work on the verse of the day slides in Logos.
Could this be connected to the new 'clicking' regime?

Thanks for the info! I was curious to see if it was something native or potentially moving to something more cross platform where the Mac and Windows version would have the same media player.

Hi, following this update I am unable to load last week's presentation (on windows 11). Proclaim just crashed and won't restart. I don't even see the loader. Have tried uninstall and clean install etc but to no avail. Any help/recommendations appreciated! Thanks, KJ

Thanks for the report. We just released a Windows-only fix this morning. You can get it from the Help > About menu in Proclaim, or download it from proclaim.logos.com/download.

Latest update triggers antivirus software, I finally overrode it and was able to install and get Proclaim to run. Please tell me that the latest build was not infected with a virus??????

At our church PC (running Windows 11) I checked the box to use the new video player and restarted Proclaim. Once I restarted proclaim it loaded and then Proclaim went unresponsive. I had to reinstall Proclaim and am unable to use the new video player at this time, is there something missing?

Thanks for these updates. Could we please add a toggle option to make a digital bulletin? We want the digital bulletins from our Sunday gatherings but not for all other uses (Awana, youth group, weddings, funerals, business meetings, etc)
Having a simple check box "create digital bulletin" at the top will allow uses to control whether or not a digital bulletin is created.

Hi James, had the same, it appears that because it needs access to things like power point and photos and other ,what your virus protection, deems sensitive items that it will flag it, usually only a IDP Generic virus threat, you usually have an option to exempt the particular program or app if you trust the site.

Thanks for the report Steven. Can you please submit logs through the Help menu in Proclaim so we can investigate?

i’m on a Mac and and when we’re live and I have an imported PowerPoint or a keynote as JPEG’s, I can’t seem to skip directly into the middle of the presentation by double clicking on the desrired slide using the preview of it at the bottom when I’m in edit mode. It seems to jump to the first slide in the group. For example, if the pastor on the fly adds a verse, I pop out add Bible and then I wanna go back to the slide he departed from which might be in the middle of the JPEGs. When I double click on that slide in the bottom preview pane it jumps to the first slide in the group vs the desired slide. Hope that makes sense.

With the update I have been failing to upload videos all day (Win 11). I have never had problems before. I tried the "New Optional Media Player" (above) but still did not work
My solution was to make Windows Media Player my default video player on my computer (which I never had to do before) and video uploaded immediately.

Is there any way to toggle off the new double-click behaviour? Some of my volunteers are accidentally clicking and dragging, which reorders the slides.

Yes, in Settings > General > Order of Service, select Presents first slide of item.

Thanks so much!

For future releases, please consider not changing long-standing behaviors, like the way clicking an item works. Instead, please consider adding the new behavior as an option, but retain the original behavior. We have so many volunteers that it's impossible for us to update them on changes like the new double-click behavior. As a result, this past Sunday, it took them 30-60 seconds to guess the new behavior, and it messed up our song lyrics. If you had left it the way it was and made the new double-click behavior an option, we would have been fine. We may end up using the new behavior, but it would have been much better to have it as an option rather than a forced change. Thanks for considering this!
