Gap between sections of verse

This is a question I can't find an answer to and Logos support could not help with. Notice the gap between Luke 2:7 and verse 8. This is just one example, as gaps between between verse section occur throughout the Bible. It occurs despite which Bible version I am using. Any help is appreciated (this is driving me bonkers 😀).

2:1 In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered.

2 This was the first registration when Quirinius was governor of Syria.
3 And all went to be registered, each to his own town.
4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David,
5 to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child.
6 And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth.
7 And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.
8 And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear.

Are you talking about using the Copy Bible Verses tool? There is a paragraph break there, which is probably your problem. Just create a new copy Bible Verse style like this

    %NoFootnotes
    %NoCitation

    =Header

    =ForEachVerse

    <p>[FullPassageRef] ([Version])</p><p>[VerseNum][VerseText]</p>

That removes %UseBibleParagraphs and gives me this

    Luke 2:2–9 (ESV)

2This was the first registration when Quirinius was governor of Syria.

3And all went to be registered, each to his own town.

4And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David,

5to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child.

6And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth.

7And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.

8And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

9And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear.

No, I am talking about the Bible itself. I use the ESV, but it happens in the KJV and NKJV, among other. Some bibles appear normal. Maybe it is just the way some of the versions are, I don't know.

I think I understand now. When I open it, I see the blank line and then the section heading.

But if you have selected "Reformat" and "Bible Text" then you have lost the section heading and just see the gap, right?

Or with "one verse per line" selected under reformat, maybe you see this:

I don't think it is possible to remove the space, but you can add the section headings back in so it is not so jarring.

Thank you. Not the perfect solution, but it is tolerable. Thank you.
