I know that the commentaries go on sale from time to time. Some are even on sale now for 25% off. I was just wondering what would be considered a good sale. I'd like to pick up the set, but I can wait until it's at a good discount.
Thanks
I was thinking the packages were the best buy (for AYB) … 25% is a yawner, but I don't remember the good percents.
Back when I made my purchase, I was also thinking about how to save money. The discount on the collection was around 25–30%. Later, I found the complete collection included in a Logos 10 base package, which is no longer available, and the discounts there were much deeper. Take a look and see if any of the books you’re interested in are included in a larger base package. You might end up paying several times less — and you’ll also get other collections that you would probably buy later anyway.

That’s how I got my AB set. I’m not sure if any of the new libraries include the set or not.
Finding it in a bundle/library is probably the best way to go. Thanks.
You can get good deals on the Anchor Yale if you're patient. Some good recent deals on it have been: December - 60% Anchor Yale + Sacra Pagina New Testament bundle February - Publisher sale, 40% the full AYBC set April - Spirit Week, I think that was 60% the full set, but the marketing email has an expired link instead of a price, so I can't check it. Also sometimes there are sales of around 50% off on individual volumes or groupings like "major prophets" or "Gospels and Acts". They also gave away one of the Isaiah volumes as the freebie book last October, but I wouldn't wait around to collect the whole set that way. :)
You're right, however it's rare you'll see the entire AYBC set in a bundle/library. Of interest if you go Researcher Portfolio you'll bag the entire AYBC OT. Unfortunately you don't get a single NT volume 😕
But, of significance you'll get much of the Hermeneia series (important for seminary level work) even with the Researcher Platinum and Diamond libraries. Of course before I put down this much coin I always check in with my sales advisor.

Thanks for the info. Knowing the past sale will give me an idea of what to hope for. I looked at the set in April, but ended up purchasing one of the gold libraries that had another commentary set I wanted.
FYI - I just looked back at my order history and discovered that Logos has offered 7 volumes in the Anchor Yale Bible Commentary series for free:
11/2024 - Isaiah 1-39 11/2023 - Proverbs 10-31 10/2022 - Ruth 10/2022 - Philemon 03/2021 - Ephesians 1-3 03/2021 - 2 Peter, Jude 10/2017 - Romans
And usually there will also be several books in the series offered very cheap as well.
My order history shows for 3/21, for example, that James was 3.99 and Ps. 1-50 1.99
