The power of a database like the Interactive called "Commandments of the Law" comes when you can search it for a given commandment and then explore all the commandments in related categorizations.
Is not this a search with related categorizations?
Thanks for asking. Yes you can click on pre-determined broad categories, but I don't see where I can hit Control-F for Find or Inline search to search for a specific precise word.
Not sure what you mean by "Inline search" but it should be possible to provide a Sidebar search/Find box as in Library. It can search across all predefined categories for your word.
Thank you, can it search within the detailed text for a word, or only in the broad categories?
It would search the visible predefined categories for your word. Try it in Library where it will search across categories.
Thank you, I'm sure any type of search would help, even if it can only search the predefined categories.
I found when I wanted to search a specific Commandment of the Law, I just searched the Bible for a key word, then found the reference, and then sorted the "Commandments of the Law" by "Reference" and scrolled down to that reference to find it in the "Commandments of the Law" interactive.
But having the ability to search on the predefined categories might find what I'm looking for sometimes, and that would make this interactive more useful as a database of "Commandments of the Law". If such a search could be added with little expense that would be great!
Thank you!
It might be nice to search a Bible reference as well to zoom to the reference
Click on About in your interactive for details of the search capabilities
I’ve been using the mobile app for years, and the addition of the floating insights button is making it really hard to continue. When I’m reading a passage on my iPhone, my eyes are constantly drawn down to it. And please correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think it added any functionality? I am conditioned to get to the…
I know some prefer to have a Bible open while preaching… I appreciate the sentiment, but I’ve found it easier to include any Bible passages I need in my sermon document. However, there are times when it would be helpful to be able to spontaneously refer back to the passage later on in the sermon without paging back in your…
In the two resources: MHQ (The Meaning of the Holy Qur'an, Abdullah Yusuf Ali) and The Quran with Christian Commentary (Gordon Nickel), when adding an anchor, I don't see Reference as an option and Active Reference isn't available on mobile. The Reference field seems to recognize: 1. canonical holy bible references 2.…
Editing or writing a sermon can be done on an iPad, desk top, or laptop. Why not add the same functions to the mobile phone? So often I have an idea for a sermon I am currently working on and would like to immediately enter the idea into the developing sermon using my mobile phone, however, this feature is not possible.…
I use the Bible Study tool regularly. Please add that the inserted Bible passages also include the verse references as an option.
