I am happy with the classification as a Commentary. It works its way through the Old Testament, book by book, so it essentially serves the purpose of a Commentary, notwithstanding its title.

Every Introduction should be book by book and highlight the main content and topic of the latter.

A Commentary should pay attention to each verse and be more in-depth, which is not the case here.

I deplore the tendency to create bible milestones for books not intended to be a commentary, such as this.
Even where a book is intended as a Commentary, some are no more than notes and some appear in a series not dedicated to commentaries e.g. Early Church Fathers.
Consequently I have tagged 169 commentaries as Notes, but not necessarily because they fail to be verse-by-verse e.g. the best single-volume commentaries avoid this fate, whilst most 19th century (and earlier) ones become Notes.

We have a similar problem with Bibles that are simply the Text used in a Commentary.

I also have difficulties with the current tagging. First, because I can not treat the translations embedded in commentaries as Bible (e.g. Anchor and Hermeneia). Second, because works that self-identify as commentary that aren't contemporary Protestant expectations are not treated as commentaries e.g. the Zohar. Third, because pamphlets intended as workbooks for small group use are treated as commentaries - not a use intended by their authors.
