Is there any way to make the translation tool work on non-English text in footnotes?
Checking it out, I learned that Translate has gone bonkers. I'm in page-view, Hebrew Encyclopedia. I was going to try Translate on the footnotes.
That's when I noticed it goes into auto-translate, paging automatically! I've been watching it, to see if it runs out of translate-fuel. Luckily I don't care.
But yes … arriving at footnotes, no can do, even automatically. It refuses, calling up wrong target language. English to english, which works on non-footnotes.
As I reply, it's still translating (english into english). Time for lunch … maybe it'll take a break.
This is rather annoying. The footnotes in the book I'm reading at present have fairly long untranslated German quotations. I can work through them, but I don't know if it's worth struggling with the words I don't know as they are, afterall, just footnotes. But it's frustrating to have an automatic translation tool that I can't access for this portion of the text.
This exposes further shortcomings in how Logos handles footnotes. I read most books in paged view with the footnotes shown at the bottom. Nothing can be done with the text—no selection, no right-click menu. I can click the footnote in the main body of the text for the pop-up, and through that I can then access the right-click menu for reporting typos etc. (which in itself is a bit too much work). The translation tool however does not work even that way. I guess I can then copy and paste into Google—but I won't.

Good evening, When using the Mobile App on my phone or my iPad (iPad is my preferred method of reading aside from a physical book) I have two versions of the KJV bible. There is "The Holy Bible: King James Version" which seems to be the 1611 authorized version, because it has the dedicatory at the very beginning of the…
I was wondering for documentation purposes does anyone use the Windows's virtual desktop feature - for example, run Logos and Verbum on different desktops? or run Logos and their thesis software and their browser on separate desktops? If so, how do your use it? Run into any problems?
I have several Bible audio files. Is it possible to have it work with its proper Bible instead of using the machine audio when selecting “read aloud"?
New user here trying to figure some things out. I have found that the available bible versions between the desktop app and web app are different. I have successfully set the NASB1996 as my top bible in the web version, but cannot in the desktop version. It does not show up as one of the options. I have the bible in my…
