my question seems so simple but where are the Bible maps? I looked around and all the different resources and under references I don’t see any. It seems an obvious missing element for any Bible app.
You can find the Atlas in the Tools menu. If you are looking to pick up resources from Logos.com (all purchases include a 30-day return window), this thread mentions a few that may prove helpful.
To search all your books for maps, try using this search:#image EQUALS tag:map AND Jerusalem (or another location)
There is also a Maps search - sometimes under Search>More, but I find the above works better.
Logos has relied in recent years on their Atlas, which I find underwhelming. This is a shame because a really good set of maps is a very important Bible study tool.
The Maps search is your backup but that relies on resources you possess. If you are thin in this area, the ESV Study Bible has very good maps. I have a personal book with an index to these maps built from a .docx file that John Brumett created. You can find that here:
if you are interested.
There are also indices for Logos Deluxe Maps, Logos 7 maps, Holman Bible Atlas, MacArthur Study Bibles, Rose then and Now maps, Satellite Bible Map, New Unger's Bible Handbook maps, Zondervan Atlas of the Bible in short if you put them together in a collection you have a very complete Biblical atlas guide to your collection. All of these should be able to be found in a search of the books and courses forums. Suggestions on how to make this well known rather than esoteric knowledge (that I've had for a week or so) us appeciated as is the work of the person who created most of these.
Carta! Don't forget Carta! Love those maps.
I was looking at the Factbook entry for Pompey and the only key passage it brought up was Psalms of Solomon 2, which makes sense. I have two questions. (I'm in the latest desktop app for Windows.) First, Is the reference correct? "Ps Solomon 2:title–37" reminds me of the old joke of the guy that read the whole Bible "from…
We are a small church and love the simplicity of Proclaim Media. We prefer it to uploading and having volunteers struggle to make things look professional. We currently use the Pro Media package but I haven't seen any updates to this package since March of 2023. Is this ever going to be updated consistently again? Is it…
Received my copy of the expanded edition hardcover version today and noticed that one of the introductory pages states it's possible to add a digital copy of this book to Logos. Unfortunately, the link provided (https://logos.com/LexhamPress) takes you to a Baker Books page with no obvious way to obtain the digital copy of…
When I open word info cards for Greek words, the lexicon defaults to LSJ. If I change it to BDAG, which I prefer, it will stay that way for the session. But if I close or come back to Logos, it will revert to LSJ. On my desktop app, I have a prioritized Hebrew-Greek Bible that uses BDAG for the Greek. I’m guessing that…
I was watching the September update and saw the feature that links your sermons to the Biblical text. I don't see any margin ribbons or icons showing up, however. Must a sermon had to have been created using Sermon Builder for it to show up? I do not use Sermon Builder to create my messages, but I have well over 1,000…
