my question seems so simple but where are the Bible maps? I looked around and all the different resources and under references I don’t see any. It seems an obvious missing element for any Bible app.
You can find the Atlas in the Tools menu. If you are looking to pick up resources from Logos.com (all purchases include a 30-day return window), this thread mentions a few that may prove helpful.
To search all your books for maps, try using this search:#image EQUALS tag:map AND Jerusalem (or another location)
There is also a Maps search - sometimes under Search>More, but I find the above works better.
Logos has relied in recent years on their Atlas, which I find underwhelming. This is a shame because a really good set of maps is a very important Bible study tool.
The Maps search is your backup but that relies on resources you possess. If you are thin in this area, the ESV Study Bible has very good maps. I have a personal book with an index to these maps built from a .docx file that John Brumett created. You can find that here:
if you are interested.
There are also indices for Logos Deluxe Maps, Logos 7 maps, Holman Bible Atlas, MacArthur Study Bibles, Rose then and Now maps, Satellite Bible Map, New Unger's Bible Handbook maps, Zondervan Atlas of the Bible in short if you put them together in a collection you have a very complete Biblical atlas guide to your collection. All of these should be able to be found in a search of the books and courses forums. Suggestions on how to make this well known rather than esoteric knowledge (that I've had for a week or so) us appeciated as is the work of the person who created most of these.
Carta! Don't forget Carta! Love those maps.
I have been getting exciting logos Webinar announcements about how Logos users can learn how to get more out of the latest version of the program. These "sign up" classes are great but I cannot make it to most of them - time commitments. I am hoping that it is possible to view these "after the fact". Is this currently an…
On my Logos for iPad, I no longer see the yellow Note marker next to text I have created a note for. I have checked all the settings for Notes, as well as general App settings, and I cannot find anything that would affect that (either to turn the markers off or back on). Has anyone else experienced this?
I use copy location links often, daily, throughout my word processing's collection of documents. However, lately, clicking the links opens endless tabs (ie, tab, then another with another click, then another …) as well as going to my desktop Logos installation and local resources. (Going to my local resources also seems…
here’s 2 prepubs that should have shipped months ago… or so it seems. Maybe someone at logos can update?
I can't seem to find it but I am sure it is available in Logos. I am studying a passage say Genesis Chapter One and I want to know which words are used the most frequently and how many times for each word. I can read through the chapter several times and take note of the words that are used more than once. Is there a tool…
