What is the Textual Basis for Logos' Interlinears

I saw a question on social media to which I don't know the answer. I had always assumed, but you know how that works.

The question is, what is Logos' textual basis for their Greek NT interlinear texts? Do they use their own, like SBL, etc.? Do they use TR for TR-based translations and NA/UBS for those so-based translations?

The question arose because of what seems to be a mix in the interlinear for the LSB.

If anyone knows the actual answer, I'd love to hear it. Guesses, not so much. 😎

You actually can see it in the info pane of every RI-empowered bible. The short answer is: Yes, SBLGNT for critical text NTs, the Scrivener GNT for TR NTs, LHB for OT.

Logos features both interlinears and reverse interlinears. The textual basis for each type is indicated in the copyright section (refer to the info panel).

Lexham published two Greek-English Interlinear New Testaments, both edited by Dr. W. Hall Harris III. One is an SBL edition, while the other attributes the copyright of the Greek New Testament to the Deutsche Bibelgesellschaft, indicating it is based on the NA27/UBS4 text.

Details about the reverse interlinears are provided in each Bible’s info panel within the copyright section.

When describing the LSB as “mixed,” it’s important to understand that the reverse interlinear aligns the English text with the editorial decisions made by the Bible translation committee, in conjunction with the Greek text of the SBL edition. When an English part doesn’t have a match in the SBL text, it needs to be supplemented (it isn’t mixed because it’s not a pure critical edition). For example, John 5:3b–4 is absent from the SBL edition for text-critical reasons, so the editors of the reverse interlinear of the LSB have supplemented it (see screenshots below).
