Hi Everyone,
I've been using Logos for a while and even so I am still getting used to how to find things/topics in my library. This remains a bit of a challenge for me as I often search for a topic or something and then the general results don't really satisfy my question so I dig into my library and find a book and stumble upon the exact info I was looking for. The problem is this book/resource did not show up in my search results or tagged in Factbook so it feels like I might be missing on the 'gold nuggets' hidden in my library.
For instance, Logos now incorporates the theology guide into Factbook in their latest update, however, searching for a theological topic (The Attributes of God or Righteousness) that is clearly defined in the NDBT does not show up at all in Factbook>Theological Lense, instead it just recommends more books I don't own and lists the irrelevant books.
Similarly, Smart Search does not yield any results from the book I actually wanted to get the info from and instead lists all other sorts of irrelevant results from 'lesser' authoritative resources. So what I now have to do is either open the book manually from my library and search topics there or run a search using the book as a filter.
This doesn't quite seem right and I'm concerned that I might be missing out on important resources by just 'trusting' that smart search or the guides will list the right books/resources.
I've made sure to prioritize all my resources I want to get information from but what use is spending money on a large library if you still have to glean the information manually!?
Am I missing something here?
Thanks.
