Text comparison for non-biblical texts

I love the text comparison tool for Bible texts(s) between versions. I was wondering if there is any way to use the same comparison tool for commentaries or any other books that one might own that have an original and an updated or revised edition of the same book. For example, I own Word Biblical Commentary, Volume 30: Daniel, and Word Biblical Commentary, Volume 30: Daniel (Revised Edition). I would find it helpful to filter books like this with the text comparison tool to quickly highlight differences in the 2 commentaries.

It does not look like it is possible. The tool will show bible translations included in some commentaries, but not the comments on the bible text. I tested by making a collection out of a commentary and its revised edition and the collection is not accessible from the tool picker.
