Inline and Reverse Interlinear.

Please note that this is my first time using the community's help. Sorry if my question does not fit the regular format.

Why does my text from the RSV2CE not shift to show the difference between Inline Reverse and Reverse interlinears as shown below ? I use Legacy 7. I have followed the instructions but I see no difference. The text remains at the top.

This is how I would like to see the interlinear, whether it is the inline reverse or reverse interlinear. Which one should I be using, Inline Reverse or Reverse interlinear?

The SBLGNT is a new testament, thus you can go from Matthew to Revelation, but not to Maccabees. This is a deuterocanonical book, so it probably won't be in a Hebrew Interlinear, but in a LXX Greek-English interlinear such as this: https://www.logos.com/product/27440/lexham-greek-english-interlinear-septuagint-hb-swete-edition?queryId=f8632f3b0fdf210dee55fac13e5f6069

Hi Isurette, welcome to the user forums!

the inline Reverse interlinear and the interlinear ribbon of the RSV2CE both show the same information: The English text and beneath it the Greek/Hebrew and the tagging info. These are both Reverse interlinears, tying a translation back to the original language text. The picture you showed below was from a "forward interlnear", where you have a Greek or Hebrew text (such as Nestle/Aland or the SBLGNT) explained by tagging info and accompanied by a rough overly literal "translation". You would need to buy such an interlinear Greek NT to see this kind of arrangement.

N.B Mick Thank you so much for your reply. I clicked on the SBL edition link you so kindly provided me only firnd out that I already own this software.
I tried a test Biblical text. I entered 1 Maccabees 1:19. it remained stuck on Matthew 9:24
My next question is this a glitch? How do I enable this version, as a test and directly from Verbum?

Edit: Why was it not enabled when I bought it? Should I contact Logos to correct this problem?

I have another question.

Why do I not see these two forward interlinears?

I proofread the Daily Readings for a Catholic website, the Agape Bible Study. I must be able to access both forward interlinears, not the reverse ones. The interlinear icon does not show me both types of interlinears. I'm wondering if I should have my Verbum "updated" to include these two forward interlinears.

I don't think you need to "update" anything, it's just that you want to see those interlinears. One idea that comes to mind for the idea to jump from Matthew to Maccabees: put both forward interlinears into a series

This works to integrate both (same as commentary series do),

A second idea would be to assign the interlinear as a parallel text to your RSV2CE:

I used the series name from above, but you could use the two interlinears directly instead (Verbum will only display bibles that actually have the respective verse, so the LXX and Greek NT wouldn't be open at the same time). You can also configure which lines from the Reverse Interlinear and the forward interlinear you want to see:

The next step could be to save a layout where the bible and interlinear is open like you want ist, along with what you normally open for your study purposes. You can even instruct Verbum to open to this layout each time you start the application.
