Search Tab does not open with cursor in the search tab window

On a Mac, when the Search tab opens, the cursor is not automatically placed in the search box. Users must open the search tab, then manually click inside the search box window before they can begin typing their query.

This defeats the purpose of the keyboard shortcut (Cmd+Shift+S) that opens the search pane because once the "search tab" opens you still have to use the mouse to click in the search box before you can actually perform the search.

Ideally, the cursor should be placed in the search box by default, allowing users to start typing immediately after opening the search tab. Most users perform countless searches - so yes, this BUG is bothersome.

For any programer at Logos, this would be such a simple 5 minute fix. But we have reported this bug multiple times since July 2025 and Logos will not fix it. Please help. Thank you! We LOVE Logos!!

I wonder what the crafted design might be. On opening app functions:

Library, Bible, Factbook and Guides seem to default to the text box entry (good).
Mixed bag on Tools. Some default; some don't. Sort of hit or miss. No obvious design principle.
Then, there's Search: miss. Especially as above, with a keyboard activate entry, miss.

Er .. ah… one has to check the code out, make the change, test the change, document the change, schedule move into beta test, add to version release notes, check code back in (perhaps early in the stream), official release as gold. Doesn't sound like 5 minutes to me and I don't even know the code structure.
