What to expect when making a suggestion

Dear Folk,

I asked this some several weeks ago in a couple of posts, but fear it got buried in the suggestion/discussion.

What should I expect in response and time to respond when I make a suggestion?

If I suggest a resource I'd like to see in Logos, when/how will I know if the staff approves/ nixes, and when and where will it appear in the production cycle?

If I suggest a resource have its Logos tag changed or another added, how long and how do I hear if the staff approves and is working on it?

If I suggest an upgraded feature (like adding the ability to search created collections to Factbook), how long and how do I hear if the staff approves and is working on it?

I assume all suggestions are viewed by staff, but I don't know what to expect whether they like/dislike/have more questions of what I mean/when things will be addressed, etc.

Thanks for improving my comprehension of the process.

Given the number of suggestions and the size of the company, you will generally receive no feedback. And if your suggestion is accepted into the development roadmap you may still wait years to see action. If bugs like the bug in the Bible Event Explorer that bypasses the deuterocanonical events has gone years without correction. However, that does not mean that your suggestion is not heard and listened too. One can see over time, the influence of suggestions and up voting/vocal objections in what is done. Sometimes, things are not implemented in the way that was suggested but rather the problem addressed is the same.

There's an episode of Malcolm in the Middle where one of the brothers says "I expect nothing and I'm still let down."

That's effectively the Logos experience when it comes to user requests. They just released a video showing that the ESV is the most popular bible in Logos, and yet it's been almost a year since the ESV2025 came out and they still haven't updated it in Logos (even though their free and paid competitors have.)

If your post gets popular enough, one of the Logos employees will pop in to say "we're listening" or "you should make this same post in another subforum" and then you will never hear from them again. Listening, it turns out, is very different from doing.

I never vote because of what @Patrick said……resources appear in prepub that were not voted on, yet other popular ones languish forever. It's a waste of time.

It's pretty much the same with features. I frankly don't know why they expend the resources on these two voting pages for the value it seems to offer users.
