Crash on start up

I started having some crashes on a21 and hoped a22 would change that..and it did...for a while. I was prioritizing my library when the program quit. When I boot it I will see the program and my last layout for a few seconds and it crashes before I can change anything. Where do I delete my layout.db? Any other options? Thanks.

Deleting your layouts may help but it might be a red herring.

A better strategy is to follow the instructions in the post 'How to report bugs...' which you will find nearly at the top of the forum posts.

Then some people who know what they are doing, and some well meaning incompetents, will have a look and probably point you in the right direction.

Will do. I can't find my "Library/Application Support/Logos4/Logging". Where is this thing? I have a Libronix DLS folder but no Logos 4.

OS X has several different folders named "Library". This particular Library Folder is located in your User folder. Does that help you located it?

Are you using the windows version as well as the Mac Version?

From my almost zero knowledge of Logs it looks as if something called 'HIghlighting Visual Filter' is the cause of your problems.

So I just wondered if you were using some 'obscure' highlighting function on the Windows side that wasn't syncing to the Mac Side.

But I wouldn't be surprised to find Tom chipping in to remind me that 'a little knowledge is a dangerous thing'

The problem is not the Highlighting code, it's the line after that. I've filed a bug for that case for one of our developers to look into.

Basically, the problem is the text comparison tool is crashing when the application is loading. I would have thought that deleting your layouts.db might fix the issue while we find a fix for the bug.

If you wouldn't mind giving us your Layouts.db to look into, you can post it here so we can troubleshoot, then delete or rename it and restart Logos4 to get up and running again.

Your layouts.db is here: /Users/My Stuff/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Documents/e1wclom8.fok/LayoutManager/layouts.db
