How do I Download the Piper Sermon update to Logos 3?

I have the John Piper Sermon Manuscript Library and received the update in L4, but I have Logos 3 on my laptop because it will not support L4. How do I get the sermon updates on my laptop?

UPDATE:

I found instructions on Logos' blog, but it only updated the sermons to April 2008 whereas L4 has sermons into June 2009

It may be that the piper sermon update is still being worked on for version 3.

If it's there it should update through the standard update script.

Before I post that, you should know that there was a problem with the server that produced endless downloads for L3 users. It apperas to be broken still. But here it is anyway. I think I remember reading that it should be fixed on Monday sometime:

I think that link might work for the Piper updates. They downloaded for me even though most of the others won't. If not, you could copy them direct from the FTP site.

The download did not work, it would not stop downloading, but I was able to get the file from the ftp site and it worked.

To download the updated books, follow the steps below

Verify that you are running the latest version of Libronix by opening Libronix and going to Help > About Libronix DLS. In there, you will see the words Libronix DLS followed by a 2 digit number. If the number listed there is 2.1b or below, click here for the steps for how to uninstall and reinstall Libronix which will give you the latest version. However, if the number listed there is 2.1c up to 3.0f, click here for the steps for how to update your software.
After you have determined what version of Libronix you are running, follow the steps below that pertain to your Operating System for how to download the books.

XP

1. Close Libronix
2. Click on the links below

3. A "File Download" window will appear. Click on "Save."
4. A "Save As" box will appear.

In the 'Save In' window, double-click on the C-Drive
Double-click on Program Files
Double-click on Libronix DLS
Double-click on Resources

5. Once "Resources" is in the 'Save In' box, click Save.
6. Reopen Libronix
7. Go to Tools > Library Management > Synchronize Licenses

When that is complete, the updated resources should now appear in 'My Library'.

Vista and Windows 7

1. Close Libronix
2. Click on the links below for the book files

3. A "File Download" box will appear. Click on "Save"
4. A "Save As" window will appear.
5. Make sure "Desktop" appears in the skinny box next to the arrows. If this does not appear, click "Browse Folders" in the lower left hand corner of the window. Select Desktop from the list of Favorite Links that appear in the left column.
6. Click Save
7. When the download is finished, navigate to the desktop and locate the file.
8. Right-click on the files and choose "Cut".
9. Open Computer and navigate to the path that you have set up for the Resources. If you have not created a specific location for the books to be saved, the default location the books are saved to is C:\ProgramFiles\LibronixDLS\Resources (or C:\Program Files (x86)\Libronix DLS\Resources if you are running a 64-bit system).
10. Once you are in the Resources folder, click on Organize and choose Paste.
11. Reopen Libronix
12. Go to Tools > Library Management > Synchronize Licenses

When you open Libronix and go into My Library, the updated resources should now appear in My Library.

After those steps are complete, if you are not able to access the books, let me know and I will look into this more for you.

Just paste directly into your Browser address box (works for IE8 and Firefox).
