I want to find out what the best lexicon most scholars would use for Hebrew to English definitons?
HALOT.
And if you have BDAG, buying the BDAG/HALOT is often cheaper than just HALOT.
Most scholars that can afford it 😂
For low budget scholars there's also a concise version that is not too expensive right? And there is also NIDOTTE. And there is the BDB. What do the scholars say about those?
Over the years HALOT vs LittleHALOT have come up. It seems to me, if one were not all that enthused about Hebrew (or Greek), concise versions are fine. But if one saw more exploration in the future, the concise ones just delay the best purchase, and waste money.
NIDOTTE is a different animal. Once one says 'theological', then the choices change dramatically.
Below (for anyone) are comparisons. HALOT on the right (concise and full); BDB and DCH on the left.

I just had a super weird experience, where I appear to have bought a resource, and received a different resource. As a preface, I have several monographs of the Qur'an, which are pretty useless to me. So I went looking and saw that Logos in fact did have a copy as a "Research Edition". So I bought it. However, when I went…

Rather than creating a new note each time, I used the "Duplicate" function (Ctrl-click on the note tab, and select "Duplicate"). This results in a new note that exactly…
I just purchased the reverse interlinear ESV. It's easy to access it on my Logos app on my Mac Mini—the app has a "button" (aleph-omega) on the toolbar. Can I use the reverse interlinear on my iPad? I don't see a similar button on the Logos app for iPad.
There was just two letters of a Hebrew word I wanted to highlight, but even when I select the two letters, and I can see when I right click that only the two letters are selected, it nonetheless highlights the entire word. Is there a way to prevent this and only highlight a letter? Also, if I do figure this out, how does…
I have Verbum on my iPad and sometime after a recent app update, I can no longer find a way to jump to a particular paragraph in the catechism. I used to be able to hit the search 'magnifying glass' and just change the "CCC xyz" to "CCC abc" and it would jump to CCC abc. It no longer works and I cannot find any help…
